I did infrapubic on January 23, I advise you to take 4 weeks off work, tight briefs or boxers give me a crazy annoyance, staying 7/8 hours at work with tight stuff would drive me crazy, stay home at least 4 weeks

Re: How long until I can return to work?
I had a penoscrotal incision. Dates and details in my signature. I work from home (desk job). Went back after 3 weeks. It was very uncomfortable to sit for very long. Things were much better at 4 weeks, then I'd say I was great at 5 weeks. Everyone is different. I also bought and used a hand held urinal for the first few weeks. Really helped a lot. Pack of 2 on Amazon for around $10 if the hospital doesn't provide one. I started cycling around 8 days post-op and it was excruciating. I'm not a very big guy, so I'm trying to be aggressive to regain size/girth (as I side note, I'd say it's going well with a VED, cycling 2x daily for minimum 60 minutes and the Perito Exercise). Anyway, I would break out in cold sweats from the pain. Don't push yourself. There's time for recovery.
Like most guys have said, I'd give it 4 weeks, but it all depends on your pain. I also tried to minimize pain pill intake (bedtime only) to help prevent possible constipation (wasn't an issue for me), so that you don't have to bear down for a bowel movement.
Currently, my only (infrequent) pain is that of the pump digging into my scrotum.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I also had infrapubic. I took 4 weeks off due to repeatedly in and out of the car all day for my job including occasional heavy lifting. Your time off all depends on the nature of your job and your type of surgery.

Re: How long until I can return to work?
I had a shoulder reconstruction two weeks prior to my implant so I was off for 4 months, but…. I could have easily went back to work driving a fork truck(that is what I do) by week 3 and if I had a desk job could have easily gone back at 2 weeks. I was deflated at my 2 week appointment and started gently pumping at that time also. If you can wear a shirt with the shirttail out and loose pants you don’t have to strap it down very hard. All according to when your Dr deflated you, how much you’re inflated, and how you’re healing. Some are still very swollen at 3 weeks. I had almost zero swelling so was good to go at 2 weeks
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate your comments!
48; Oral meds early 20s-mid 30s. Lots of side effects. Inject ever since, with 4 hrs or longer episodes of priapism. Thought was OK since they weren't longer. PD now. Logistics & pain of injecting have made me seriously consider an implant.

Re: How long until I can return to work?
I'm on my feet most of the time at work and at a desk the rest of the time.
I went back to work the day after my first follow-up appointment when my doctor deflated me.
There's no question that the first few weeks back at work were physically challenging. But I couldn't just sit around at home any longer. I was ready to be out of the house.
