I iced my shaft and scrotum today but swelling still seems to be on high side. The pain is back and I am trying to control it with pain meds. Tomorrow I have to take the flight back to Newark. Ideally I would have liked to wait another day here. But now have no choice. I just hope to reach soon and then rest completely for days to come.

Will tell tomorrow how the plane journey goes.

Best wishes in your journey home atul! Let us know how it goes. Been there! You will have the most profound sense of relief when you walk in through your front door!

btw. i just returned to Miami, from Newark!

Thanks TB!
And I am at the airport in Miami for my flight back to Newark!

The night was little difficult to start with. I could not sleep initially and then had a good bowel movement (even though it was difficult) post that I felt little easing.

But the shaft and scrotum are painful and swollen. I am not sure but my shaft feels sometimes harder than usually how it is. Could it be the swelling? I also feel that my glands are getting engorged when I wake up. It is more difficult to pee in this state.

I have to begin what will be a difficult journey back home. I actually wished I had taken a day or 2 more in Miami. But I just went with doctor’s advise and now I am here.

I was also cleared to take a bath after 48 hours but I will take an extra day or 2 and till then just wipe myself with a wet cloth.

One day at a time! One step at a time!

“One day at a time” (actually, at this point “moment by moment”) is how you will experience life for awhile. I remember being precisely at the point you are now….you feel kind of trapped by your body. It, and not you, dictate your moment by moment, day by day experience. I recall reading the accounts of guys just a few weeks further along, talking about pain and swelling and bruising being gone….cycling…etc. To be where they were in my earliest days seemed an eternity away.

And now, it feels almost suddenly, im 2 months post op. Pain free. (except for the expected discomfort of maximum daily cycling, which is a privilege). Working normally with no discomfort. Hitting the gym daily. Whew!

You’ll get there brother! Hope it wasn’t to bad on your flight. I wonder why the nerve block hasn’t been more effective? I was sore on the flight home, and hated feeling so delicate and self conscious, but was doable. But man, getting home, laying down, icing….was such a relief that day.

You’ve passed a few milestones already. The surgery is history. The flight home is history. You’re marching forward!

And yes, you are dealing with swelling for sure. At the moment it probably seems a stretch to think this alien penis, swollen and sore, will in due time become once again a great instrument of pleasure. But you’ll get there. It’s (healing) is happening moment by all-too-slow moment!

Day 4-

Finally after a 3 hour flight I am back home to NJ. I feel much better to be home. The flight was fine to start with but the last 30 mins and the subsequent airport transfer to car was a nightmare.

But I instantly felt better lying down on a familiar bed and having the comfort of being in my own home. I am still icing as the swelling had become worse during travel. I had worn my thomas john underwear for the travel. They kept the scrotum and shaft tightly snuggled inside but I had to go to the restroom 2-3 times to let it free and get some air. I am still not sure what is the best underwear to wear after being inflated. I will buy the separatec ones today from amazon and try them on later in the week.

I have been getting nightmares that what if my implant has gotten spoilt because of this excess trauma of travel so close to surgery. I hope these are just irrational fears.

After sleeping a good 2-3 hours on my bed I already feel the swelling has gone down in scrotum. Hopefully in a few days, I will be able to feel the pump and the deflate valve.

Hey I have a few questions about Billy if you don't mind:

1) Is he willing to trim cylinders instead of using RTEs?
2) How many implants does he do?
3) What's his infection rate?

Welcome home amigo. Yep. That flight home is never the same vibe of a flight to St. Martin for a beach holiday, for sure. But you made it! All that’s behind you now. Sounds like you’re doing ok at home.

Say, i use that separartec underwear and like it. (Seperatec “Everyday” style for, well, everyday. Comfortable cotton. I bought several of their microfiber/silky style for going out). I never used hem to hold my dick up. I only use them now when i’m flaccid. The dick-pouch seems designed to accommodate a dick aimed down, and not up. So now i wear them with the knowledge that:

My previous “growe-er” dick will indeed fit into the hole, and stay there without falling out.

And, i have a real “package”. This is a novelty for me and i’m enjoying this aspect.

To keep mine pointed up i just positioned my dick up, put a baby sock on my dick to cushion the glans, put regular snug underwear on followed by a one-size-too-large jockstrap. Worked good, but as you mentioned, still gotta take frequent breaks in the men’s room to let things air/hang. It is pressurized, after all.

Hello,

1) I had the same questions for him as well. He does not like to use RTE’s is what he told me. Also, that he can trim the cylinder if needed. Though he does not prefer that. He implanted me with no RTEs
2) He doesn’t give numbers but says many. On the day of my surgery he said he did 3 implants.
3) Again he did not give a specific number but did say that it has been years that I have had an infection with a patient.

I could have pressed him to give out figures but I chose not to. Overall I liked him and since Dr. Eid had given me his v positive feedback, I went for it. But again my situation was time critical else I would have waited for Dr. Eid to come back.

Regards,
Atul

I feel much better today on Day 5. The swelling is almost completely gone overnight. I haven’t eaten any pain medication since last night (>12 hrs) and still feel fine.

I do have some discomfort in the shaft. It mainly is because I can clearly feel the cylinders and it pains whenever it moves on walking etc.

I also happened to read my surgery report yesterday on the MyChart app. Dr. Billy has written a detailed report about what all went in the operation with the various steps and what kind of sutures etc were used. One point which caught my eye was that he has written that I was left deflated. Now this is something which is different from what he had told me when I met him for my consult. So I have written an email go him to clarify this.

I also remember that his assisting resident doctor Dr. Alejandra Perez who had come to meet and examine me told me I will deflate you a little bit to make you comfortable. So that is more confusing.

I guess I am only partially inflated and not 50-60% I initially thought. Also, from what other members advised me on my other post about penis taking various shapes, it looks like I am not inflated much.

I will update this once I have a word in from Dr. Billy. It would have been nice to have his cell number to communicate over sms but that us something he doesn’t do. Something one should be mindful about. Also, this is different from Eid and Clavell who both give numbers with Dr. Eid even ready to take calls.

But I see a huge improvement in my situation and I hope this will continue. I can’t wait to start feeling the pumps and start to cycle it.

Thanks TB! You are an inspiration! Good luck on your travel to Thailand and subsequently using the new ability to maximum! Do keep us informed and give us tips :D
