Mixing injections and pills
Is it OK to take Viagra or similar at the same time as injecting? I am new to injections. Just started using Caverject but so far have not given myself enough dosage to produce an erection. I've used 5 mcg, then 7.5 and will try 10 next. Just wondering if adding a pill to the injection might do the trick. My On Line pharmacy are advising against it but it seems like a few of you are getting a good result from it.

I'd continue working out your dose with the Caverject before adding other variables.
I'd also consider experimenting with novelty/sex shop cock rings as they give many injection users a nice boost. I won't expound further on that topic at the moment as I have numerous times in the past.
I believe with most doctors the answer to the question is still a firm "NO" as to mixing pills and injections.
I do mix pills and injections without issue but my situation may not resemble yours at all. I'm a radical prostatectomy survivor with nerve damage. So my reactions to mixing the 2 may be very different from yours.

When I got a new Uro and I mentioned that I was using both injections and Viagra he looked at me quizzically and asked me why. I told him that using the Viagra allows me to use a less injection mix. He just said "OK" and that was the end of the topic. It is my understanding that more doctors are recommending the combination but I can't document that and I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Ask your doctor and then use your best judgement. But if you decide to use the combination you should experiment with a greatly reduced dose of your injection mix before increasing to your normal dose so as to avoid the risk of priapism.

Thanks so much for your helpful response. Yes, obviously makes sense to try and get the dosage right before complicating matters. Those articles are not exactly easy reads but it seems that if all else fails it could be well worth exploring trying both pills and Caverject. I have just ordered a cock ring and I also have a vacuum pump so I will have a few options to play with.

If you can tolerate the side effects of the pills it may be an option to consider. Economics can play a role, depending on the cost of a pill dose and the cost of the trimix dose you may find a happy compromise using both.

Re: Mixing injections and pills
My urologist advised combining 100mg sildenafil with about half the Trimix I would otherwise need to reduce the infamous after-action Trimix ache. The ache reduces to almost nothing. I've done this for some years now and could not be happier. I'm lucky to have no sildenafil side effects, and we always have sex before breakfast, so the stomach-contents variable vanishes.
