I remember what i dislike the most about having the first implant was having a foley cathetor after the procedure. I awoke from surgery and was like get this thing out of me lol! but then the nurse gave me pain medication and things were tolerable.

This second go around the actual surgery time 90 minutes according to the nurse in recovery, if that is the case then it appears to be more work involved for the surgeon on the revision procedure.

That's what I heard. It's easier for the patient but more difficult of a procedure for the surgeon.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

The extra time & work is likely accounted for by the removing the old cylinders & pump. I doubt that is hard work. Just additional work that takes time.

Week 2, applied ice therapy daily in the evenings for the scrotum and reservoirs site.
Day 8, 4/13/2023 Awoke sore in the lower right abdomen where the new reservoir is placed, likely the result of yesterdays walk and plan on taking it easy today. This morning I able to feel more of the pump housing I can now identify one side wall but not the other side because that side has more swelling. Went shopping today I was on feet for about an hour at which time my scrotum started to ache pretty good. Went home a iced with the polar ice machine, this works so much better than the ice pad because it covers more area and it’s a colder temperature. I should have started icing with the machine from the get go. Took 2 tylenol and 1 advil today.

Day 9, 4/14/2023 as the swelling continues to subside I can now feel the outline of the pump housing on both sides, it feels like the release button is on the right side because it has the dimple, the left side feels like a smooth surface. Also I can now hold both sides of the pump between my thumb and forefinger. If I were to squeeze it would engage the deflate function but I'm not going to until later in the recovery process. (Dr. says wait 6 wks.) I awoke this morning with some tightness and slight pain on the site where my reservoir was placed, right side low in the abdomen but below the belt line. This started when I went on my first walk 2 days ago, I may have over done it and still need to take it easy even when walking. I remember this area feeling tight while I was on my walk, I believe the reservoir is still settling in place, I'm curious what the site will feel like when reservoir becomes full of saline once I completely deflate. Took 2 tylenol and 1 advil.

Day 10, 4/15/2023 I can now feel the complete outline of the pump and housing, the deflate button is easier to locate its on my right side, with my right hand I can place my thumb on it while my fore finger is on the opposite side if pressed will engage the deflate mode. Compared to the first implant pump this one is much smaller, yes much smaller and actually feels tiny but I'll chalk this up to the new and improved version. The bulb below the pump is pretty hard and when I pressed slightly I could hear fluid starting to move but I didn’t go beyond this point. Right now I'm just getting reacquainted with the equipment.

I can now sleep with regular briefs at night the penis is still pressed against my stomach but the dog ears don’t bother me as much while laying down. Standing and walking is a different story, I find I need to adjust my equipment every 30 to 40 minutes to relieve the dog ears. The right side where my reservoir is located feels much better (not as tight) when doing routine task around the house. However went on a 15minute walk, scrotum was ok but reservoir area still feels tight while exercising its located low on abdomen but below belt line right side. There's no pain in the reservoir area but a little uncomfortable. There was no pain or discomfort in the scrotum area while walking/exercising.

Took a shower and changed bandage, the incision looks like its healing very well, dry in appearance with no inflammation or discharge. Im able to gently apply an alcohol pad on incision with no stinging. The scrotum is not back to normal yet still has some swelling but each day its getting less and less. The reservoir site seems to be lagging in the healing process I notice while washing the area is very sensitive and sore to the touch. I wouldn’t describe it as pain but definitely sore. Took 2 tylenol today.

Day 11, 4/16/2023 Dog ears have been a problem today, part of that I attribute to the Separate brand briefs I don’t do well with those but found instant relief when I switched to Jockeys, (re: day 5). Some discomfort in the scrotum that was relieved with Tylenol. Reservoir site still sore but not bothersome for daily task except when bending over to tie shoe laces this produces a slight pain. Went on a 10 minute walk reservoir site still feels compressed but not painful but it is uncomfortable. I could have walked for more time but im intentionally taking easy and will increase walks over time. Took 2 tylenol and 1 advil today. Continuing with ice therapy.

Day 12, 4/17/2023 First day back at work. Took a Tylenol and three hours later an Advil helped managed dog ears while at work and the discomfort wasn’t too bad, notice my penis wants to automatically shift the right side and it is more comfortable. Changed bandage, to my untrained eye the incision looks completely healed though I can still feel some of the stitches. Continued to use Bacitracin oitment though Im thinking this will be the last application. While showering notice the reservoir area is sore to the touch but manageable. Bruising is almost completely gone on the penis, also the scrotum discomfort was non-existent today but there is still some swelling. The reservoir location remains sore but to a lesser degree. Went on a 15 minute walk, I feel the tightness in the right groin area is starting to loosen up I think because the internal swelling is going down as well. Felt ok after walk with little discomfort. Sitting has become more comfortable though sitting down is a slow controlled motion. Took 2 tylenol and 2 advil total throughout the day. Continuing ice therapy.

Day 13, 4/18/2023 Scrotum swelling still present but not painful as before, right side groin continues to be sore but it is improving. Dog ears requiring adjustment throughout the day. Took 1 tylenol and 1 advil today.

Day 14, 4/19/2023 I notice more swelling in the scrotum in the evenings compared to the mornings, likely due to the activities throughout the day. Am able to sit without much discomfort. Changed bandage after closer inspection of the incision there is on small area that looks slightly red and not quite as dry as the rest of the stitches, so I applied another bandage. I thought the previous bandage was going to be the last but not a big deal just a few minutes time to apply. I thought I could make it without pain medication today but my scrotum started to hurt late afternoon so took 1 tylenol. Reservoir area remains sore and remains uncomfortable when tying shoe laces for right foot.
