Honestly I think instead of the fancy new technologies, the first order thing is really to have a product that is significantly more durable than the current models. Personally, I am willing to pay an extra $200k to have an IPP that would never break...
31 yrs old. ED from since puberty due to venous leak. Pills worked for 7-8 years and then stopped. Skipped injections, got implanted on 3.11.2023 with Titan Genesis pump 20cm+1.5cm RTEs by Dr. Levine.

I wonder if there are any plans to offer cylinders with larger girth. I have read on this forum some with larger girths lose girth after implanting.

I doubt they would ever offer it to people our age though. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I bet Rigicon would offer you a lifetime warranty, irrespective of your age.
I have a lifetime warranty on mine.

Improved digital tech is great for your iPhone or your laptop or your electric car, but I wouldn't look to it for your penis.

Do you really want something so complex with so many potential complications determining your erection?

The Tactra was an improvement of the malleable in 2018 and there has been some talk of a heat activated IPP using the same metal (nitinol) that is in the Tactra, but that and the blue-tooth possibilities are the only things I've read about.

I would prefer improvements in the weaknesses that exist in the implants already on the market. That would be in the tubing in the Coloplast or in cylinder strength or the awkward pump shape of the Boston Scientific

You don't have an implant yet once you do you will appreciate not having to pump your balls and the potential for your fingers to slip and knock a ball.

Having a blue tooth activated implant where the pump isn't in your scrotum crowding out your nuts would be an improvement. Of course there would also be other advantages to not having the pump in your sack.

I have had my implant for 5+ years and quickly (very quickly) learned pumping techniques to minimize risk of "disturbing" one of my testicles.

Surgically implanted electronic technology has proved pretty reliable for heart pacemakers and defibrilators, on which people's lives depend.

True, but those items have had several decades for the technology to mature. I do seem to remember a recall a long time ago. Might of been a recommendation for frequent monitoring.
If a person has life threatening conditions then they don't have much of a choice about getting a pacemaker or defibrillator. ED doesn't meet that level in my mind. Not going to shame those that are enamoured about becoming an early adopter. Just not my lifestyle.
I think it'll be interesting to see if the insurance companies will be willing to cover the higher costs that these implants might require.
