According to the study, no. Even understanding the unconscious bias they had even the *researchers* had it still. I'll see if I can find it to post, I was kinda blown away because to me exactly what you're saying is how I figured it would be... but yeah, not so much... and mind this is "negative" in an academic context, not negative in the "I love him", "Oh, I don't love him anymore" sense. Just a general feeling of he's "less a man." on a numerical scale that was statistically significant regardless of relationship.

I'm really curious how women over 50 will react to an implant. A lot of men in that age group are experiencing various degrees of ED or weak erection. But a lot of the times the attractive older women are simply dating younger men these days

I would REALly like to read the study. I know studies are controlled for bias and preconceptions, etc. So, I did a quick search and found this article which suggests the opposite.

https://globalnews.ca/news/4039294/

But, since I know "surveys" like this are not really reliable, I suspect it only confirms the bias some people are willing to SAY how they view the world and not how it really is in their deep-down feelings. Often enough, the two are opposite.

I believe this is the perspective that a very large percentage of women will have on the matter. I don't say that to be cruel, but to be realistic.

I still think it's the best option for a lot of us, but it's best to approach life with eyes wide open

Mark1974 why you here man? All you do is whine about implants. I've heard from multiple guys laying pipe with 20 year olds If you don’t want one live with your hourglass. It's about your attitude and how you approach it.

If there is one thing women dry up over it's the weak and diseased. so if you cry about needing and implant or even pursue a women while you have ED (which is a stupid idea considering the whole point of mf relationships Is sex and reproduction, otherwise it's friendship) you are going to run into trouble just like a car salesman trying to sell a broken car. If on the other hand you fix the car or in this metaphor fuck her brains out there won’t be any problems. Even if there issues \ a high value man will have other options and leave at the drop of a hat a man should never ever care about a woman more than she cares about in order to be the higher value person in the relationship and thus someone she want to mate with. It's been proven over and over women are more attracted to men who exhibit narcissism, physcopathy, and machevillishm https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 0dangerous. In summary CONFIDENT men who care little what ANYBODY THINKS OF THEM.

I hope you don't whine about this to your wife otherwise you're already in trouble and riding the attraction escalator in the wrong direction.

I guess I check the boxes for both of your scenarios: I'm 33 and one of the women I'd been having sex with since getting the implant is 57. She doesn't know about the implant in my dick. Definitely keeps texting me coming back for more though!

If I were in a relationship were I all the sudden encountered ED I would simply dissapear on a women she would spend months crying, thinking about why was it another women did she do something. In the meantime I would fix the issue. Come back fuck her and fix the problem is solved. When a woman has a cocktail of dopamine, serotinon and oxytocin in her brain it is hard to reject a man they will usually agree with you.

On the otherhand, when you have been around a woman for months without fucking her essentially wondering around in friend zone, leaving her sexually frustrated, talking about a surgery to possibly fix the issue that she knows little to nothing about. The response will not be good.

Speak from experience used to be a premature ejaculator as a teen told my gf about pills to fix the problem she left me. Used pills on other girls fucked them until they came didn't mention the drug they kept coming back. Women don't care about your problems just how you make them feel simple as that.

Posting a story of someone I know. ED ended his marriage to his much younger wife. She was in her mid-30's, he was early 50's. He said ED came on suddenly and pills did nothing. Newly single he knew dating was not happening, so implant was scheduled. Met him after surgery when he had lots of questions. Once he healed up it was find a partner to test it out. Find a partner he did, who turned out to be a lady near his age. She was insatiable and the stories he related about their sex games would make any man jealous. He never told her about the implant, I guess she thought of him as some sort of superman to have sex four and five times a day. He is now ready to move on, she won't let him go.

Interesting study, but has some flaws. Firstly, it is a survey of self-reported views/opinions, not empirical and objective. Secondly, it studied short-term relationships, which is useful for examining casual hookups, but not medium or long term relationships.

On the other hand, I (sample size of one of me and a dozen of women, so very small sample size) found that when I advertised on a dating site that I was functinally impotent and on the path to fixing it and seeking a "lab partner" to have sex with before and after implant, I got several interviews and four recruits of which I chose one. All that without a hint of the "Dark Triad" of personality traits (The "DT") examined in that study.

I submit that a man does not have to present with the DT or narcissism, psychopathy and Machiavellism to get a date. Confidence (with or without erectile function), honesty (as opposed to denial), positivism (my analloyed intention to "take the bull by the horns" and get a solution, and willingness to commit to my partner's pleasure seems to me to have been a powerful attractant. Perhaps not as attractive as if I were endowed with the DT triad of personality traits, but pretty successful, I think.

In short, yes, as you assert, women are attracted to the "Bad Boy". (As Willie Nelson points out, "Ladies love outlaws".) But ladies also like and love and bed down with nice guys, too. And being a nice guy, I submit, puts fewer miles on one's soul than otherwise.

Hi Lost sheep,

Thanks for the counterperspective. Although I do not agree with it I enjoy the debate. That study was just the first one I grabbed there are more: Hare, Mclaren "snakes in suits" back, schmuckle, egloff "why narcissist's are so charming at first sight".

Yes, these are not compatible behaviors with long term relationships HOWEVER they are compatible behaviors with high levels of sexual attraction and romantic love. Long term monogamy is unnatural and nothing but a societal invention women will mate with the strong and marry the provider, they will make rules for the provider and break them for the lover. You don't have to go far to hear the tales of dead sexless marriages these are couples that live together 24/7 and how can you be attracted to something that's always around you it doesn't quicken your pulse it's not novel. know that feeling when you get a new shirt, car, etc, your excited by it especially if it's hard to get. Romantic love and attachment are two different things one is characterized by the "honeymoon stage" the other a long term relationship.

So you can have a short term relationship characterized more by attraction or a long term relationship characterized more by friendship. At the end of the day wishing equality and goodness will not undo hundreds of thousands of years of hardwiring in the human brain.

I don't have a wife. And I'm not even attempting to date because of my ED. If I get the implant I would look to date women between 50-65 which is why I ask questions about that age group. Sometimes I get answers from other men dating the same age group and that information is of interest to me.

I don't agree with all the bad boy mentality theories you have. Maybe that works with some types of younger women, but I don't think it goes far with mature women, especially if they are emotionally balanced themselves.

Many times men who have a lot to offer (either sexually or financially) have a lot of options and therefore they are less emotionally dependent than men who are less desirable. And I think that sometimes is mistaken for the idea that "women want a bad boy". But it's what the men bring to the table that the women desire, not the attitude
