Guys,
I joined Frank Talk a few months ago and have gotten a lot of good help by just reading the posts. I have suffered from ED for years and finally none of the pills, pumps or injections work satisfactorily anymore.
I have an appointment on October 29 to get an implant. I am not sure about which brand I will select, but I am leaning toward a Coloplast Titan. The doctor recommends it for me. He says, that he can install either the Titan or the AMS. I notice on the posts, folks say the Titan is better for dicks longer than 7". I can't say that is the case with me. However I have quite a bit of curvature from Peyronies and from what I read, it seems that the Titan is the preferred device to straighten the old boy up!
I have been pumping and stretching my penis for the past several months and will continue until surgery. My wife and I are leaving next Saturday for a four week stay in Scotland and will have the surgery when we get back. I kid my wife and tell her that I will buy a kilt to wear during recovery so I don't have to wear baggy pants. She had some facial surgery done a last year and ate pineapple for a week or so before surgery to minimize bruising. It really worked for her. She is encouraging me to do that. Have any of you guys tried that?
Thanks
Scheduled for an implant
Re: Scheduled for an implant
Hi Jollis,
First, congratulations on your up-coming Penile Implant.
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004.
The Titan completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
Most Implant Surgeons recommend the Titan both for men with a 7+" penis and men suffering with Peyronie's Disease.
The reason is that the the Titan is made from a sturdier material (Bioflex).
Wishing you and your wife a lifetime of enjoyment with your Implant.
Best of Luck,
Bob
