Injections Advice

Postby woundedlion » Mon Sep 02, 2013 4:15 pm

Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum this is my first post.....I have decided to go for Trimix or penile injections(caverject) as a desperate measure to save my relationship , self confidence and sanity.
I have been in low spirits and struggling with poor erections and ED as ever ,several failed attempts at sex...
my background....so i am 44 years old have suffered ED for a long while, when i was 24 , and got by with Viagra and Levitra for many years successfully until they failed me 18 months ago, probably due to frequent use or misuse just after i found the woman of my dreams and started living together.

She is still very supportive and understanding but i feel time is running out for me to find a solution ...as there doesnt seem to be any solution or hope in sight.
I am based in the UK, we dont have Trimix here only Caverject is available, i used this many years ago in 1996 when my ED started , but never liked the idea of injecting it and wasnt very discreet to carry around or store.

My questions are
1. Does it always work?, has it failed anyone before after continued use?
2.How often can one use it in a daily or weekly ?
3.Am i too "young" to be using this ? no disrepect to anyone any age .. after all we are all in the same boat
4.UK guys is there somewhere i can buy Trimix in the UK ?

People please shed some and experiences Pros and Cons etc
Any help and support would be greatly appreciated

I am hardly an expert in the injection game. However, if all the pills fail...this is your next step.

I could have an orgasm, whether orally or manually, stimulated by my wife. But I have had the constant worry in the back of my mind that she wanted more than oral sexual stimulation.

Although I could live with my "medical condition" I felt I owed it to my wife to try injection therapy.

My next trip to my URO will almost certainly solve my problem with injection therapy. I still will feel inadequate due to relying on injections, but I love my spouse and will do whatever it takes to make our relationship complete.

Don't hesitate if your sex life is dead. Revive it with today's modern medicine.

I new at this compared to some of the guys here, but at any rate here is what I've learned in the past 6 months since I've been injecting:

1. I've injected a total of 32 times, and it did fail me once. I don't really know why.

2. My urologist told me to inject twice weekly more for cock therapy than anything else (I had prostate cancer). Some guys here inject every other day or so, with no ill effects, but they can give you the details.

3. Apparently not, according to some of the people here.

4. I'm in the U.S., can't help with that. :(

Hi there ....don't consider myself an expert, but I will try to give you some guidance. Talk with an urologist for starters....he likely will prescribe caverject and it's a matter of experimenting to determine the required strength to give you a firm erection....he will guide you. Usually it is suggested you use this type of product about three times within a week.....again he will guide you! If you condition your mindset, the injecting is not all that bad. Sure, we would rather not have to do it, but if this is necessary, do it. Think positively about it. Also, discuss in some detail about injecting. Generally the most effective area is on the either side of the penis an inch or so from your thigh....after injecting, massage that area so that the chemicals distribute around the area which will be most effective......and for heavens sake don't think of injecting the head of your penis. It is not the head of the penis you want to be hard, it's the penis itself. Th reason for injecting close to the thigh is that the root of the penis is within your body and that section needs the effects of the injected fluid. Good luck!

Hi
I`m in the UK as well. If you can find anywhere to get Trimix then you`re a better man than me - and please will you let me know!! Best it seems we can do is Caverject.

More random thoughts about injecting:

Some guys here have said that "plumping" the old boy up first gives you a bigger target and lessens the sting. I have not found either to be necessarily true.

Finding and hitting the recommended area can be deceiving when you bend your dick over to the side. After it gets hard you can easily see if you injected where you thought you did.

Sometimes the needle hurts very little going in, sometimes it hurts quite a bit. Last night it hurt like a son of a bitch. I have not found any specific reason for this (yet), but even after 32 times I am still very nervous and apprehensive when I get the needle poised above my dick. I'm only doing it for therapy; maybe if I had a hot pussy waiting for me it would help to distract my mind -- I don't know.

But it's getting mentally tiring and seemingly pointless.

Guys thanks for all your comments and support i realy appreciate it, i cant wait to try it now, to UK guys is there any where in South London that i can go to be taught and tried the initial injection to work that out, i tried the NHS route through my GP but he has reffered me to my Urologist which will take months ...why wait so i wanna go private ..but i cant seem to find any nearer south london any thoughts anyone.
Also whos has been using injection therapy the longest ...some suggests that it looses its efficacy as a while

Hi Woundedlion, I am also in UK and started injections 18 months ago after orals became less effective ( I am now 70 with type 2 diabetes and used Viagra/Levitra for 15 years). I would suggest that you check which of your local hospitals has an Erectile Dysfunction Clinic and then find out which has the shortest waiting list. My doctor referred me to Northampton and i only had to wait about 3 weeks. You do not have to see a urologist - I saw a Nurse Specialist Practioner who was really first class. After an initial consultation I had the usual titration process to determine the correct dose of Caverject over the next few weeks and he then wrote to my GP to authorise the free (in my case) Caverject. The only problem I have had is that the availability of Caverject is a bit irregular. However, Viridal is exactly the same thing ( just as in the USA Edex is an alternative to Caverject ) both are Alprostadil otherwise known as PGE1. My pharmacy fills my presription each month with whichever is available.

I would love to try it but as you have heard Trimix is simply not available. I have not had a single failure in 18 months injecting.
80 year old Type2 diabetic, long term ED, pills then injections PGE1. After 4 years they became less effective. Implanted 20/3/2018 by NHS. AMS 700 CX 15+4 cm with MS pump. Never had any significant pain. Still working perfectly and used regularly.

Thanks guys for all your comments , but to UK guys is there any where ie private Urologis or clinic where you can just go and be trained to self-inject without any extortionate consultation fees ?
I am keen to work with a specialist to establish the right dose (and train me to self inject too) for me and then from there i will try to perfect the injections myself, but the ones i found on google are aLL in Harley street and very expensive one quoted me £800 for injections only plus 1000 consultation ..there are other cheaper ones but they are generally NOT very reasonably priced ...help anyone..i have tried the NHS and that involves months of waiting just to see a Urologists .

Any help would be greatly appreciated
