Would priapism be painful? Fell asleep..

Hey guys. Been using PGE1 injections off and on for a couple of years as higher doses of orals still seem to work ok sometimes but I hate the side effects. Last night about 9pm I used a shot. We didn’t have sex until around 9:45 and by 10:20 we were done. As most know the responses seem to vary. I was still hard afterwards so I gave it 15 mins. I was still hard so I did a few push ups. That seemed to soften it ever so slightly but still basically hard. At this point it was around 11 so about two hours since the injection. This does tend to happen to me but I’ve never had it stay until the four hour mark. So I laid in bed and watched tv with my wife for a few intending to monitor it and I must have fallen asleep. I woke up at 4:15 this morning with an erection but as soon as I woke up and realized I had fallen asleep I panicked for a second and it went down. I still get nocturnal erections with meds in my system so I think it had went down on its own during sleep and this was probably just a nocturnal erection this morning. Just not sure how to know. Should I be concerned? At 4:15 I would have been a little over 7 hours. Does priapism get painful when it happens? Would it wake you up? Nothing looks off this morning or hurts. Thanks for the replies.

If it wasn't cold or darker than normal I wouldn't worry about it.

This happens to me often. I stay hard after injecting a solid 2 hrs. usually I've fallen asleep before it completely dissipates. When I wake up to pee in the wee hours, it's usually gone. Everything seems fine. I think we're ok mate?

It can be. I had a 4 hour boner once and couldn’t sleep. Tried ice packs, cold bath, Sudafed…no good. Girlfriend thought it was funny!
