I just signed up to this forum, have really seen some helpful data. I myself had a severe case of prostatitis in the early 60’s that left me with ED. Went thru several years on Viagra, then Levitra, and then Cialis. Each worked for a while then stopped or greatly diminished. Started the injection route in late July with Trimix. My formulation is Prostaglandin E1 30 mcg, Papaverine 6 mcg, Phentolamine .6 mcg and Atropine .04. Injection amount is 50 units.
I have only been injecting 30 to 40 units to see how this plays out. So far I have done about 12 injections. Erections maybe at 60 to 70%. Get a little better if I use a cock ring. I have 2 issues that I would like to hear about from others that may have experienced them.
The first is the aching penis. On every dose I get an ached in my penis that lasts 2 to 5 hours, and then subsides. The ED doc says this is a “good” ache that should diminish with time. But I am a little leary of this statement. At this point does not seem to diminish any. And is the ache doing any damage?
The second issue I have is the orgasm. Previous to this injection therapy I had minimum problem having an orgasm even with a somewhat flaccid penis. Now having an organism is much more difficult if not impossible. Is this a side effect to this med? Also, does anyone know if you stop using the trimix do things return to the pre trimix period?
Sorry to ramble on guys but this is a whole new ball game for me.

Bob,
Welcome to FT ...
The "ache" is common in guys that have not had frequent erections in a long time ... The penis gets tissue atrophy when not erect on a regular basis. The Injections are stretching things out beyond what it is used to, thus the ache.
I would suggest getting a VED (vacuum pump) for non-injection days ... this will help with blood flow and stretching (if done on a regular basis). If the ache persists, you can change the formula ... consult your URO.
Is it possible that the "ache" is overcoming the "problem having an orgasm"? Some guys report the sensations change a little, but it shouldn't be enough to prevent climax. I too had a slight ache when Injecting, but was able to climax. The only damage occurs from a prolonged erection (priapism) ... anything over 4 hrs., you should go to the ER.

I also had an ache in the beginning but it went away after two or three injections. 12 injections seems a lot not to have it mitigated. You may want to ask your Uro to change the mix. My PEG1 is only 5.88 mcg/ml.
Unfortunately, I have to report that orgasms for me on Trimix are more difficult.
