Which dosage works for You guys?

Guys ,
I am keen to know which dosage of Caverject works for most guys or you guys .. 5mcg, 10mcg,15mcg,20mcg,25 mcg ....?
I am keen to hear this and the severity of your ED..this is like a mini survey to gauge what my final dosage will be ....dont worry guys just for my interest,,i am currently being guided buy a Urologist ...just tried my first 5mcg dose (lowest dose) with partial results ie 30% erection that lasted for a few mins , i suspect 10 ,15 or 20 will work for me we shall see , but my next guided dosage will be 10 .mcg ...wish me luck guys this has to work

I use 20 mcg strength. Started @ .3 in office ( partial erection) prescription started at dose .6 and could increase incrimentally to 1.0 cc. .9 was most I used and .6 is enough. My ED is bad to severe.

Trucxrule thanks very much for sharing your info I really appreciate it so I guess the fact that I got some erection is a good sign that it will work once I establish the right dosage ?.how long do your erections last for and how rigid on a scale of 1-10

Everybody is different. I need between 20 and 25 mcg of Caverject (pge1); both give me a good firm erection. 20 mcg keeps me hard for at least 30 minutes, 25 mcg gives me about 1 hour hard and gradually reduces over the next hour.
I did some research and in trials of pge1 with, as I recall, over 100 men who had suffered from severe ED for at least 6 months the average dose of pge1 required was 21.7 mcg. Another study came out at just over 22 mcg. I have had type 2 diabetes for over 15 years and started injections 18 months ago when pills became less effective. FortunateIy I do not get pain from pge1 because trimix is not available in UK. But the good side is that for me, as a diabetic, Caverject (4 doses a month) is free under our National Health Service.

Hey your welcome man. So far I would say the med alone allows me to be hard enough for sex on its own / prolly 6-7 and with stimulation I have gotten rock hard to a 10. When the first low dose is given in the office and a person gets good response ( even weak due to low dose) you can expect generally to be a good candiate for this treatment.

I have just tried my second trial dose of caverject , my initial dose last few days was 5mcg , i then increased it to 10mcg but didnt achieve any significant improvement, i then increased it after awhile to 20mcg but still didnt see the expected results... i must say i have mixed feelings and quite concerned that it might not work , perhaps i will need to increase it to 25mcg or 35mcg or 40mcg.

GOD help me !! Someone please encourage me

Do you have an option of switching to Trimix. Sometimes the additional ingredients are enough to make the injection effective. Otherwise, you may want to check out the pumping and implant forums.

I've been using pure PGE-1 solution lately so that is equivalent to ingredient in the Caverject system.

My solution is around 60 mcg/ml. And I am using between .20ml and .25ml so that is around 12-15mcg delivered PGE-1.

For me anything .25ml (.15mcg) or more gives a good amount of Alprostadil ache. But just a few ticks below .25 and I am pretty comfortable (and still get a hours worth out of the shot at least).. Funny that just a couple units difference makes a difference in the ache. So be aware of that as you move up your amount of delivered PGE-1 -- as you get the hardness you want you may run into unwanted ache too.

Also with Caverject/Edex systems or plain PGE-1 solutions you are right to be discussing the DELIVERED PGE-1 amount (in mcg) and not the ml amount of the solution in the syringe since, as you described, you might have any number of mcg/ml mixed up. People will go nuts trying to figure delivered PGE-1 if you refer to it only by the ml amount.

3 Tries and Your Out?

First time dosage: .6
Results:
Erection is 70-80% of what I want.
Duration is about 1/2 hour then I go soft.

Third dosage yesterday: (Asked doctor for higher dose and he said go to .8 but no further)
2:40 .7 starting dose
2:50 Erection is about 80% of what I want but not holding up when I start get physical.
2:50 1.5 Additional on left opposite side. Did not seem to help but not sure.
2:50-3:20 manual stimulation not bad but I think I will have trouble with intercourse.
3:19 Going soft, not firm anymore. No time for manual stimulation.
4:00 Checking back and I'm completely soft.
4:30 unable to arouse at all when attepted.

Health History:
59 years old
One interesting thing about my history is the conversation I had with me Urologist when I started this.
Since I'm an insulin diabetic he was shocked that I can do well on Viagra because he says most Insulin diabetics don't get good results with Viagra. I would like a bit more from the Viagra so he approved a higher dose than the standard 100 unit pill. I'm fairly big and muscular if that matters.
My heart health is good, I am a Class 1 heart patient with no restrictions. I climb the local mountains on day hikes and do 20 mile bike rides with no issues.
** I do however take 300 MG of Toprol-XL daily which is a monster dose of beta blocker. When I start getting physical it seems to kick in say "oh no you don't no hard pal".

ConclusionsSince the doctor told me not to exceed .8 I am not sure what to do here. These results make me honestly want to give up sex entirely. My wife has little interest in sex. We have had a sexless marriage for some years and she is fine with that. I don't have a libido to worry about. The beta blockers I take kill that entirely. I am wondering if I need to go to an ED specific clinic for me ED rather than a Urologist. It seems the entire medical community has trouble talking about ED with patients. Everyone is happy to put me on 300 MGs of beta blockers and make them look good fixing my heart but what about my quality of life? Oh well.

Ok, finally got ahold of my Urologist.

He has increased the concentration of TriMix to 20/30/1.0
I am not going to reduce the amount I take to .4 and work up in .1 increments.
