Knee surgery following implant

Postby Steve5231 » Fri Jul 07, 2023 10:54 am

I received my implant in January and now need a total knee replacement in 2 weeks. My surgeon says I’ll have to stay in the hospital overnight. There’s a chance they’ll have to insert a catheter. Will I need to inform them of the implant or will it be obvious?

They will ask for list of all surgeries. Don't be shy, it might make a difference with antibiotics. I've had knee replaced after implant with no problem. Catheters aren't a problem.
