I am scheduled for implant surgery 10/15/13. Cleveland Clinic Fort Lauderdale, Fl. I asked my Dr. Hakim if the LGX was better for me than the 700 CX. He said the CX is firmer because it only expands in girth. Does anyone have any feedback on that statement?

My doc has been doing implants since the early 1980s and has done about 1000 of them. He uses the AMS or the Titan and chooses based on his evaluation of the size of the penis and the configuration of the scrotum. He installed the AMS CX in me. When I asked him why not the LGX he said he thinks that if the surgeon measures the penis correctly that the CX provides the same function and does not have the potential for failure that the more complex LGX does.

It is good that Dr. Hakim also prefers the CX as others here have found him to be a very good doc.

More undocumented opinions ... probably by "old school" Doctors that refuse to change. The CX model is generally used on guys with scar tissue issues ... thus the no length expansion, because it is too painful otherwise.

The LGX is the most widely used model by far, and gives guys a chance to recover lost length (up to 4 cm/1.5") due to tissue atrophy, blood flow issues, etc.

mayersob you didn't mention if you have scar tissue ... or other issues. If so then the CX model would be a better selection.

It also depends on what your flaccid state is like compared to what the erect state would be. It would be difficult for me to get comfortable if my flaccid length were to be the same as my erect length. prior to surgery I was all of 3.5 inches flaccid, now even with an LGX model I am about 5.5 inches flaccid more would be a bit of a pain.

So I am happy with the LGX.
