another bruising thread

Postby rode2nowhere » Mon Sep 09, 2013 7:52 pm

Injected trimix 2 nights ago usual spot right side 1 inch from base, no pain and worked great. got up next morning and still have dark blue/purple looking bruise on right side at injection point and all the way down under at 6 o'clock position. I coulda hit a vein or whatever, I am sure the 1/2 inch needle was all the way in. Is this going to go away or what? It has no pain or soreness but is dark in color?

I would not worry about it unless it remains there a week or so. You hit a minute vein more than likely.

This is a minor hematoma which takes about five days or so to be absorbed and dissipated. If you have no pain, then there should be no problem injecting or you can always use the other side.

Been injecting for past 6 months about 1x per week...works great..I used to get bruising slight..but recently I get no bruising..It seems the longer I put pressure on the injection site...the less bruising...
One thing I have noticed is the ;ast 2-3 injections I had some pain as I injected the Trimix...didn't really have that before..
any ideas why that may be??......

I get that occasionally too. I think it occurs if you are not injecting at a nearly perfect 90 degree angle. If you miss the 90 degree angle, you are increasing the amount of the tunica you need to pierce in order to reach the cavernosa. Just a thought.

aspirin or vitamin E or fish oils make it easier to get a bruise since they are blood thinners
