The 5.5 inches was before my surgery so after I was given a 14 cm and 1rte. so I lost a little over 2 inches. The doctor said that I was a grower and that they can only stretch to your flaccid size, not your erection size. So showers will have their normal size while a grower can only have his flaccid size. If you are a shower you will get your size back but if you are a grower you will just get your normal flaccid size. So growers need to get more flaccid size before the implant or you will end up like me about 2-3 inches short.

Before implant 3.5 flaccid 5.5 erect. After implant 3 flaccid 3.5 inflated. Worst mistake of my life. Wish I had never done it!

Sounds like that doctor is an idiot, my old flaccid was like 3-4, you can pull your flaccid as far as your erect length minus the gland’s engorgement, i am like 6.25 erect. Get a consultation with eid or clavell.

Witheringhog is right. Your surgeon needs education (and a set of balls). If you review videos of the operation, the surgeon measures the inside of you penis during the operation. He inserts a measuring stick (I forget the medical term-Hegar Dialator?) to measure the length of your erect penis. He does this by inserting the tool into the tip of your tunica that extends into your glans. And he should use as much force as your tunica does during your most energetic erection. If all your surgeon does is push until it reaches the glans he has not done his job properly. The measuring tool is SUPPOSED to push as hard as your erection pushes (which is quite a lot in a healthy penis). The videos of this are quite dramatic, as the force used is ... very energetic in the videos I have seen.

If your surgeon does not have the nerve to push as hard as your erection did (in the past), he has no business cutting into people with a knife.

Put another way, a man who is a "grower" has penile tissues that can and should stretch. If an implant surgeon does not know this (and take advantage of his patient's tissues' ability to stretch), he needs to be sanctioned, educated and hit upside the head with a two-by-four or whatever it takes to get him to do right by his patients.

If you can, you should consult with another surgeon. Consider suing the first surgeon for malpractice and CERTAINLY tell the manufacturer of the implant and warn them that this surgeon is implanting their product improperly.

Good luck.

For example, my local doctors all said I would be an inch or more shorter after surgery as did the men I spoke to that had been implanted by them. The doctors were low volume 2-3 a year and seemed to be more concerned about saving insurance companies money than a great outcome for the men they treat.

This was my experience. I have Kaiser insurance in CA. I went to the Kaiser urologist and he was very nice. This was my first consultation with a doctor about an implant. He asked me to drop my drawers to take a look. He then (with a gloved hand) held the end of my penis out and said "this will likely be what you'll look like after implantation". I kindly ended our consultation and walked out of there knowing this was not the guy. I asked him directly about aggressive sizing and he said on a scale of 1-10 he would size about a 5 to make sure there was no erosion.

After that consultation, I set up an appointment with Dr. Clavell. His approach was completely different. He said "trust me to get you the very biggest size possible without causing complications down the road". I'm very happy with the outcome, and I've always said this is not a surgery you shop price on. I could have paid $200 out of pocket to Kaiser for an implant, but I paid 100x that for the right one.

Can i ask which doc? I also have kaiser. And not happy

I honestly can't remember his name, I met with him 9-10 months ago. It was in the Walnut Creek office.

My dick was only 2 inch soft after my prostatectomy. When I injected trimix, I had lots of pain. I could feel it down almost to my rectum inside and with 6 inch outside for a total of 9 inch. I told my doctor what size I may be. He said, dont worry, I will measure it agressively during the the operation. When I pump it up hard it is total 9 inch with 6 infant of my pubic bone. He likes the 700lgx because he can install 1 mm short and know the lgx will fill you out completely, as it did. I enjoy my 5.5 inch flaccid.
