I was hoping that I was starting over. I’m so afraid of ved because of how I babies the first implant and it failed quickly. It’s possible that AMS makes a much better product than Coloplast. I’m going to try it out for sure. I have a bathmate, but I haven’t seen anyone saying anything about using that particular device

I bought a Bathmate 4 months after my implant and used it often for 8 months total until it quit working because I broke the valve thing and a new valve didn't work since I had never once cleaned the Bathmate throughout that time. I do think it's very effective and strong. The general wisdom of the penis enlargement world seems to be that it's an overpriced popular gimmick item that isn't actually any better than much cheaper things. That might be true, I don't know. But I do know that when I was using it the force it seemed to give felt stronger than my other VEDs. Meaning, it seemed powerful. I don't even know if that's necessary/important/a good thing for implant recovery. So I'll just say that it is quite expensive but I'm glad I used it, and I think if you're willing to push your comfort zone it might be worth it. Again I doubt it's necessary but it is an option to consider.

I like the LeLuv products on eBay, I find the cylinders quite comfortable, they are available in various diameters depending on your girth.

Re: A Vacuum Erection Device/VED/penis pump should be used before and after surgery by essentially everyone.
I'm pre-op for an implant and vacuum pumping for 30 minutes daily. I pump at no more than 5 on my gauge and I get very little edema which goes away overnight. It has helped me gain a bit of length, but no miracles. My doctor suggested using it before surgery and after surgery. He wants me to stop the pumping a week before surgery, so I don't have abrasions on my penis. Staying hopeful & positive for a good outcome.

haha, well ty, though don't ever forget I'm still an idiot with a long history of making poor choices. But if anyone doesn't mind reading, felt like writing up my experience with VEDs and why I'd recommend them to most all implantees out there as well to anyone else who realizes their penis health is important.
Two months after getting my implant I emailed my patient liaison at Boston Scientific asking if she had any more exercises for cycling. She recommend VEDs:
I'm very glad she told me that because I was not using one yet. I'd last seen my urologist a week before on December 27th, 2021 when I first asked him about VEDs because people here on FrankTalk told me to. His response was something like, "they won't do you any good."
He was a great urologist for my vasectomy and several other rather serious urinary problems of mine, but I believe his advice on VEDs was outdated. That's something that can happen with any doctor, especially when you get a letter that they're retiring the day before your implant surgery, eeeekkkkkk!!!!!
But all is good, of course he still did my surgery. Just a nice coincidence with when HR people called his official retirement.
Wanted to share that because I think it's important for people to consider that telling someone to listen to their doctor is never bad advice, but at the same time, keep in mind that not a single doctor anywhere always gives the best advice. What mine missed here is that a VED certainly won't do me any bad either, and I'm glad I started using them because I do believe they have played an important role in helping me get my size back. And thank you to the liaison, oh, and to OregonStrong, because after first using one I asked him if they're gonna break my dick, cause I was worried they will. Thought I'm someone who might pump it too hard and my dick breaks in two or something. It's definitely not a natural feeling that you're used to. First time using it your dick will feel very uncomfortable and unusual and you probably don't have any prior knowledge or experience that dicks are even capable of being suctioned like this. But a VED didn't break my dick. Because they don't.
Hugely important for me, since I didn't use a VED before I'm very glad that being an idiot (again) actually helped me tremendously. As a disabled hermit my ED was awful. Before first getting prescribed Viagra in 2020 I have measurements where I was like 7" and not even close to max size. Fortunately, some research explained Viagra works to improve the tissues also, making me realize that my taking 10-15+ 100mgs and often even more Viagra for no good reasons while having zero standards on tinder was more than enough to get the job done, LOL. Don't overdose like me, but taking 2 or 3 might help you too.
That's what got me to use one, and here's the ones I have used:
I bought my first VED about 5 hours after getting that email from the liaison. I chose the BOS-2000-2. I no longer recommend it. Dropped it and it broke. Bought it again. Dropped it again. Broke again.
If you want to save money all you really need to do is buy this LuLuv off eBay for about $20. https://www.ebay.com/itm/382225773164
It's manual and it feels like the suction is about the same as all other VEDs. I bought one to keep in my hiking backpack to use when I go and sunbathe, and one I keep by my bed to use a bit before sleep if there aren't any others around. This VED comes with cylinder seals you can attach to make the device more comfortable. My advice: throw them away. Using vacuum suction on your dick will not ever be "comfortable" - you will get used to it (and it's worth doing it) and I have no problem using them often now, but if you start this process with the false belief exercising your dick is a good part of your day then you're probably doing it wrong. You don't need to make anything more comfortable, just use it and get used to it, it won't take you very long and it's not even that bad.
After the BOS-2000-2 broke twice I bought this Deluxe Battery and Manual Vacuum Erection Device by Encore:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002P ... UTF8&psc=1
I don't know if I got lucky, but it seems to be a great sign that despite me dropping it and damaging it repeatedly, the thing still works when I scotch and duct tape the tiny metal piece back to connect the batteries:
I think I do prefer battery power; manuals are just a little bit more work, but not a huge difference.
I also bought this LeLuv Smart LCD device from eBay cause someone here recommended using it after replacing his Bathmate with it:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/143624388854?var=442594419886
I liked it and it seemed a bit stronger than other VEDs I've tried, but I did drop it and break it and bought it twice
but didn't decide to buy it a 3rd time.
Instead I bought this one, and because it seems others at FrankTalk have recommend it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PK ... UTF8&psc=1
Both of those I can say seem to have a little more strength than others I've used, but all a VED does is put vacuum suction on your dick; I don't think there's ever gonna be a stark difference between different devices. One of these LeLuvs works really well if you prefer electric. The one also works really well if using a manual with a gauge is of your interest. They all do pretty much the same thing, and I'd imagine all are probably effective enough to reach your goals.
As I mentioned a few comments up, I also did buy the Bathmate, and it seemed really strong and pretty effective, but I would NOT say it's required. Most all of the current medical research states that one basic VED use even for just like 5 minutes a day can be all it takes. If you're excessive and like overkill like me, consider the Bathmate, but I strongly doubt it's necessary. They're also bulky, and using mine in the actual bath seemed annoying so I just filled it up in the sink and used it over a tub in my living room. Possibly weird, and I'm lucky I live alone, but it worked well enough. Sharing to any potential buyers that a "bath" is not required.

I understand your point and I wouldn't argue with you about it. You're not wrong. Of course this whole post is only my opinion and I am far from qualified to give valid medical advice. At the same time, though, I do think the headline "Essentially everyone," which I hoped meant, "Pretty much everyone" isn't that far off. I just have a hard time understanding any possible problems with them and I haven't seen any documentation about injuries or any other bad results. All I have seen is a significant amount of medical research over the past 40 years supporting the use of VEDs to treat erectile dysfunction, and in that email staff of Boston Scientific who make the AMS penile implants recommends them as well (she wouldn't tell me which one to buy, which I appreciate because trusting companies asking you to buy products that make them money always seems questionable). Why does anyone not want to? I'm certainly glad I did not stick to my doctor's advice, like I think a lot of people here unfortunately did. The great thing is it's never too late to start using one now. All your dick is still there, it hasn't gone anywhere. ED has probably made it smaller and less healthy, but everyone should know it's not difficult to exercise it back to health even if you already have an implant.

Re: A Vacuum Erection Device/VED/penis pump should be used before and after surgery by essentially everyone.
In my personal experience with a VED, I used it for awhile pre-op and regained size post-op. But 2+ years in, I find no additional gain from using it. My length seems to have peaked out -- and at a size I am satisfied with. And I find that if I don't use it for awhile, my size does not decrease. I do cycle quite often and feel that it helps with size stability.
So for me, there has been a diminishing effect with my VED and, while I appreciate all the improvements it has given me, I do not plan to use it further.

I think a better and more accurate way of looking at your VED usage is not "diminishing effects" - it's that you have reached its full potential. More usage won't make it bigger, because it's as big as it can be (as well as likely as big as it's ever been).
The research proves with complicated words about the "arterial blood flow and sinusoidal spaces of cavernosal tissues" that your dick blood vessels were weakened as you aged, like it is for all men, but VEDs can fix those problems medically, given that they are "the oldest therapy used for male sexual function among all approved modalities," allowing your dick to once again be just as big as it was back when you were a horny 22 year old.
That's certainly reasonable not to use a VED further, because it won't make your dick any longer now. But it is my assumption that even if fairly frequent pumping and/or sex, it's possible you'd lose size eventually. If you care that much, why not measure it every 6 months or a year, and maybe you will want to use a VED in the future? If not, you'll probably be fine, but had you not used one before and after getting your implant, you definitely wouldn't be as happy as you are now.
