It’s done - 40 y/o implanted 18 August 2023, Germany, Titan

Postby daddel » Tue Aug 22, 2023 3:38 am

Hello all,

In advance, here is the link to my introductory story:
viewtopic.php?t=20991

ED issues since 2005 (almost 18 years). It started at the age of 22. Cause: Finasteride, PFS overnight and gradual deterioration of erectile function since then. In the end, pills hardly worked at all. Severe VL. Two vein ligation operations did not really help.

I had my surgery in Krefeld, Germany (Dr. Leiber). I have known him for a few years, he has been following my case for a long time and he also performed the ligature procedures on me. He is one of the implant specialists here in Germany. Very good doctor, a lot of experience and very understanding.

Last week, Thursday 17 August, I had the necessary clarifications and examinations at the clinic. Friday morning, 18 August at 8 a.m. then the operation. Post-operatively I woke up with a 50% inflated implant, penis wrapped tightly, catheter. Unfortunately, the anaesthetic mask was operated incorrectly and the tip of my tongue was squeezed, which has been numb ever since. I hope it will get better.

No real pain since then, even if it was also largely due to the medication. One day later, on Saturday, the bandage and the catheter were removed, implant deflated. To my surprise: hardly any pain and no swelling or bruising. Nothing! I can clearly feel the pump with all its details right from the start, it seems as if my scrotum is quite unimpressed by the new buddy.

I was implanted with a Titan 20cm + 1 RTE. Distal part 11, proximal part 9 cm. Plus the one cm RTE, so a slight oversizing to stretch tissues. I previously had an erect length of about 14-15 cm. Not extremely long, but anything but small. When I heard from the surgeon about the length of the implanted cylinders right after the operation, I thought I had a loss of length. But that is actually not the case! My length looks the same as it always has. I still had a slight curvature, which has now been straightened by the implant. Tips of implant go approximately 25-30% into the glans (while deflated). It will push into it a bit more when inflated and further over time with stretching.

Now in deflated status, the penis sticks out at about 3-3:15. It looks like I have a morning wood. At first I thought that the cylinders were not completely empty, but they are. I have deflated something myself, since I can feel and press the deflate button without any problems. I can feel the folds/crinkles of the empty cylinders very well, which feels a bit strange at first, but after two days you quickly get used to it. Due to a little internal swelling and residual natural blood flow in the corpus cavernosum, I have a relatively rigid penis, deflated. Dr. Leiber said that it will become more flexible in the next few days/weeks. Only it won't get any smaller. For someone who used to have a grower and is now definitely a shower, this takes some getting used to. By the way, I have glans engorgement and it was not affected by the operation. Due to PFS and my VL my whole erection was affected, so the glans as well. However, due to my last ligature procedure last year I gained back some of my glans engorgement and lucky me it remained since then, more or less. So the combination of the slight benefit of glans engorgement coming from the ligature + the implant for the corpus cavernous now seems to be a winning team. Fingers crossed that it will stay that way.

I was discharged from the clinic yesterday, Monday, after three days stay, 3 hour drive by car back to my home town. No problem at all. Now I'm at home cooling the area a bit with ice. But still almost no swelling or bruising. Reservoir was placed on the right, I can feel it with some pressure on my belly where it was placed. I can't feel the reservoir itself, just a slight pressure „pain“. Today, however, I feel almost nothing.

Note: After the deflation one day after the operation it remains deflated until the activation date 6 weeks later. I think this approach is ok, because even through the cylinders are deflated, the tissues stretch a little already.

With each day more I can move the base of the penis with less and less pain, if any.

My penis seems anything but small at the moment. But I'm a runner, long distance. I usually run at least 40-50 km a week, burn a lot of calories and am very fit and slim. I have almost no fat pad. All in all, these are very good prerequisites for implant surgery. I hope that I can start running again soon.

I will start working again next week or the week after. I hope that by then I will be able to put the penis halfway back into a pair of suit trousers, LOL. But I am optimistic.

Now I'm lying here on my bed on day 4, drinking coffee, enjoying the sun and not feeling any pain at all. I'm not taking any pain medication at the moment.

I hope I will manage to give updates here every now and then.

All in all, I am glad that I finally took the step after such a long time of suffering.

Thanks for sharing. Great experience.

It's good to read about some experiences with minimal suffering and problems; yours seems pretty smooth sailing so far.

Best wishes on your continued healing and then putting the implant to good use.

Crazy that finasterade isn't off the shelves yet.

Losing no length right after surgery is a good sign.

congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery, it looks great, from this photo it looks good, do you see it oval compared to your natural cock? I see that you are not circumcised, I am too, I envy your cock covered by the foreskin, I don't understand why, being uncircumcised, I now find myself with the glans uncovered, this thing causes me discomfort that does not go away, I am 7 months old, have you lost girth or roundness?

Hi mate, thanks! Honestly I don’t see any change in roundness or an oval shape. Feels and looks the same as before, just bigger and firmer :)

Of course I read often here people complaining about an oval shape after being implanted but that’s just not the case with me - so far! Maybe it’s due to my good engorgement of my corpus spongiosum glandis or also just a bit of internal swelling (?). However, I can’t see any real swelling on my penis or scrotum at all.

I’d never let my foreskin be removed. To me it’s an integral part of the penis. I love the look and the protective function.

Hi Daddel,

Happy for you that everything worked out smoothely so far. Long time of suffering for you before. Did they provide you with any information on specifities of the operation e.g. was no-touch-technique used etc.?

Hope you have a good recovery and the 6 Werks are over soon!

Thanks Franz! I have no info about „no touch“ or something else.

The only thing I discussed with the surgeon afterwards was the type of incision: He made a horizontal cut (peniscrotal) instead of a vertical one. I would have preferred the vertical one along the line of the scrotum. However, he explained that he did the horizontal cut intentionally so he has better access and it seems it’s easier to properly place the cylinders.
