Hmmmmmm good question.....
my guess is that a urologist would have a lot better handle on your own personal circumstances. Thus I would (and have) opted for Uro's Rx.

In any case, I wish you the best of luck. I have had 3 years of successful injecting.

cdn,

I too thought it would be simple enough for my own GP to do. But no, he wanted me to use the Urologist in residence instead. I guess they just don't want to encroach on other doctors expertise in the same clinic?

The uro I used did not know me from Adam .. just was fine with giving the prescription and the first shot and see you later. On renewing the prescription he is fine with me just calling or e-mailing in a request. Saves me money so I am fine with that.

I think it depends on the GP and how well he/she knows you. My GP had no problem writing my script and changing it up when I decided to change to super trimix. I'm an RN, so perhaps that makes a difference. Contact a mixing pharmacy and request some literature, then take that with you to your GP.

I seem to have a good relationship with my GP. I asked him if he could prescribe Tri-mix. He said he could prescribe anything.
He said when I get my dosage solidified with my URO whom he referred me to, we could talk.
