Bruising

Postby SteveKub » Sun Aug 27, 2023 10:26 am

I’ve been injecting for about a year and a half, generally with no issues. I’ve had a handful of misses along the way, but usually have success.

Last week, though, I must have hit a vein or something because I developed a big, dark, purple bruise that covered a good one third of my dick. It didn’t hurt at all and actually didn’t interfere with my erection. But it’s been pretty disconcerting since. The bruise has faded a bit, but is still readily noticeable almost a week later.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. If so, how long did it take for the bruise to fade entirely? Did you consider going to a doctor? Again, my bruise doesn’t hurt at all — it’s just unsightly.

Thanks for any insight.

Yeah you drilled a vein. Don't do that. But it's really not a big deal and we all hit one sometimes. It will go away. Just try to take a little more care with avoiding obvious veins so it's a rare occurrence. Are you injecting by hand or using an auto injector?

I have had that happen on several occasions. The discomfort for me was purely cosmetic. The bruise generally dissapeared within a couple of days, but it may leave a so-called "hemosiderin stain" caused by the iron in the red blood cells. This brownish discoloration may take longer to dissappear.

Staying on OP original post topic.

I bruise when I give my Trulicity injection in my belly and it hurts which just does not help with the idea of injecting my penis.

With all the veins in a penis, how do you guys do this. When I look at mine to choose where if I did would I it seems there is limited clear target. Especially when trying to not shoot the same spot each time.

I did it once and very early when I started injecting. It was quite a doozy. Even had my uro look at as i had a follow up appointment a few days later. I also had a bruise that was exacerbated by the wife’s teeth. He said it was nothing to worry about and just use a better injection technique.

Al1962: I've injected about 250 times and only got hematomas about five times, so they're rare and as others have said, harmless and will disappear soon. I think it's the capillaries that I hit, so I use the thinnest needles made, 31 gauge. When I get a hematoma, I contrive to hide it from my wife, as she's a little squeamish. And I don't inject in the days before going to a nude resort. :)

I got ape's teeth problem years ago from an enthusiastic girlfriend. Wish my wife was that eager!

I've experienced bruising a couple of times. Once I knew right away. The injection was painful and it was still hurting a few minutes later. Worse, I barely got erect and the bruise the next morning was significant. The other didn't seem to be a problem but I was receiving oral sex and I noticed an oval red spot about where I injected. I actually thought it was lipstick until she finished and I could look at it better. Both went away in a day or two and I still don't know exactly how to avoid them. But overall, just a few after a lot of injections.

Thanks, all. It’s already faded significantly. I’ll just need to be more careful. Was just very red/reddish-brown there for a while.
