My Bionic Journey

Postby TexasMax » Thu Aug 31, 2023 12:47 pm

Wow Yall, It's been a crazy year so far and a wild ride of events that have brought me here.
I'm nervous as fuck !!! My mind is all over the place wondering about all the what if's and how much I am going to hate the 6 week hard on ! Will I lose length on my cock or not? Will this all be worth it.

I am scheduled with Dr Clavell at first of November.

Edit: This thread is my entire journey: Thoughts, questions, feelings, etc. I wanted to keep it all in one place.

Don't be nervous, the implant will change your life!
You probably won't have an erection for 6 weeks, I think Dr. Clavell does 2 weeks or less. Maybe someone who used him can say for sure. Should be nothing to worry about, you picked a great doc. And whether you lose length or not isn't important, it's that you can now get an erection any time you want for as long as you want. Use a penis pump from now till surgery to help keep length. Read, read, read posts here and learn.

Way to go TexasMax! I am scheduled for implantation two weeks from today. I have reached a point of peace in my journey. Thanks to the incredible men here on FT. Sure I worry a bit, but not as much as I did early on in my decision. Life with a broke dick is just miserable. Go forth and give yourself the best treatment for ED. It will be worth it.

I just read a great quote I’d like to share. “The only risk a man takes is not taking one”.

Relax Brother. everything is going to be OK. You are the n excellent hands. Dr. C. Was my doctor. My implant was the very first one he installed in the new year. Today I am eight months, postop and loving life!

If you will do a search, you may find my journal discussing real time my thoughts and feelings when I was at exactly the same point, you are. I traveled from Florida to Houston alone, and that day prior to the surgery was the longest day of my life. The month prior to the surgery was no piece of cake either as my mind rolled with all the “what ifs” and apprehensions.

The surgery, on the most sensitive parts of our body, is not to be taken lightly. And obviously, that is your sentiment right now. Understandably.

I had all the same worries you did. How bad was it going to hurt? Was it going to lose any length? Was my case going to be “the one“ with complications?

I will never forget walking through the hospital doors at 5:00 AM to check in. by 2 PM the same day I was back in my hotel room. And it was finished.

It was finished, yet it was still only the beginning.

I remember on day one, thinking about the brothers who had written on the forum and who were several months ahead of me. I envied them almost! They’d crossed the river and were safely on the other shore. But not me, not yet. I just wanted to be where they were.

Those early days pass at a glacial pace. You will never think and obsess about your dick more than you do in those first six weeks while you live with a semi chub. It will
pass.

Dr. Clavell’s pain management was excellent and through the entire process I only required one pain pill. And that happened on night number four when I rolled over and slept on my chubby. Other than that, the pain was well managed with nothing more than ibuprofen.

You still have those earliest days to look forward to, the feelings of wondering if it was all worth it, the earliest cycling experiences, and then finally you will put it to use.

I can tell you that from my experience that I was indeed able to use it for its intended purpose at about the 10 week point. Those earliest attempts were successful, Albeit a bit uncomfortable. Overtime, my sensation has improved, my length has been restored, and I do indeed have one very happy girlfriend.

I sport a bigger bulge in my pants now than I ever did, and that pleases me. There are some changes that you will adapt to. The awareness that the implant is in your body, which will subside over time. The feeling of your flaccid will change. My erect dick has a slightly oval shape, which improves with a bit of Cialis and heightened sexual arousal.

Considering where I was, with Trimix , failing, with my sexual experience is failing, with my confidence failing, I am in a different universe now. My erect dick is hard as a railroad spike if I want it t to be. My girlfriend absolutely loves it, and I even allow her to pump it up for me. That is to about 60%. Her hand strength does not allow much more pumping. I take over two-handed after that.

You will improve physically with time, and mentally as well.

Your mileage may vary, but the overwhelming number of field reports from Dr. Clavell’s patients here on this forum have been positive. you will indeed read reports of those who struggled, and everyone is different.

But I would not trade Doc Clavell’s for the world, though I have every confidence that some of the other doctors mentioned here are world class themselves.

But listen, you’re not alone. Continue to post here and as I did, you can lean on the support of the compassionate and respectful bionic brothers here who have gone before you. Everything is gonna be fine.

Thank you all so much for the replies. It really does mean a lot to me. This is so new and crazy. Thank you for all the encouragement.

As Thailand said: Yes, I am over here wondering if i will be the one, the one with a problem to report. it makes my mind crazy.

Yes Android, life with a broke has been shitty to say it nicely, there has NO spontaneous sex in years. if there was an attempt at it, it was a 60%'r and a race to beat the clock.

I know this is right, but holy crap Im nervous. i've been through other surgeries before where I didnt give a shit about anything.

Some great words by Thailand!! I also remember well the point that you’re at in my journey…. My wife said I obsessed about it constantly, and yes she was right. However, I did stay very positive about the surgery. I’ve had many surgeries in my life and even had a terrible rotator cuff rebuild exactly 2 weeks before my implant so I was all wrapped up with my useless arm and having yet another surgery. I’ve told on here many times that getting thru this implant surgery is as much mental as it is physical! Set in your mind that you are doing this out of necessity and the desire to be somewhat normal again and to fix your ED once in for all. Once you’ve made up your mind go into it with confidence and you definitely picked a great Dr for your surgery so you’ve done all you can do. Trust the Dr and put it in his hands(at least for now!! Lol). Nervousness is totally normal! Anybody in their right mind would be under the situation. Now go with confidence and things will be great! Stay in touch on this board and you’ll continue to get the positive feedback to get to your surgery and then to get thru it! Great days are just a few months away!

Boys ... Just went Bionic yesterday (Cleveland Clinic) ... Was nervous, anxious, & excited all at the same time .... Going to take it a day at a time and heal properly and take the small wins each day - today's small win was having my wound drain removed
