Are there any benefits (or dangers) to leaving the implant partially inflated

I am two weeks postop today. Started cycling the implant a few days ago. There’s not very much discomfort if I leave the implant partially inflated. (maybe 30%).
Are there any benefits to keeping it like this for longer periods of time? Is it better to completely deflate when not cycling?

We have the g same model and cylinder size. I believe complete deflating may result in kinks that may cause cylinder failure in the long run. It is good to have some pumps in after complete deflating.

Last year when I had a follow-up appointment with my doctor, he told me leaving the implant fully inflated for long periods of time can cause problems.

But he didn't say anything about partial inflation.

Guys talk about erosion in the tip of the dick, and I think that's the kind of problem that he meant.

I don’t know how accurate this is, but i read on the forum elsewhere that to avoid complete deflation is to invite the formation of a surgical capsule around the reservoir. If that’s true, then it seems one then CAN’T completely deflate.

I imagine this applies to someone who never or seldom completely deflated. As for me i cycle to max twice daily for as long as i can stand (currently :90 minutes, but hope to improve with time). I sleep and frequently leave it inflated about 40-50% (when at home). I do make it a point to completely deflate all times in between.

If I completely deflate, I notice some minor dog-eared where my cock bends down.
I usually inflate fully when I go to bed, and deflate just a bit if I wake up with some pain.
In the morning, I'll just push the button and deflate without squeezing my shaft, then add a couple pumps just to prevent the kinks. It makes for a noticeable bulge, but I don't really mind.

immediately after surgery (like in the first 8 weeks) the capsule forms around all pieces of the implant. As my doctor explained, its important to cycle as early as possible to ensure that the cylinders and reservoir space are able to comfortably expand to their greatest potential. This helps with gains with length/girth as well as preventing problems with the reservoir getting pushed out of position.

Afterwards though i don't think haven't a partially inflated implant is bad - it def makes it easier to pump it up all the way if you don't have to move as much fluid.

Agree with everyone here.

I even told my doc that I keep three pumps in the chamber at all times cause the feeling of dog ears squicks me out, he didn't say a thing and he's been uber-conservative on all things related to my care.

I do worry about erosion because I am 'young' and will likely wear this thing out in 5 - 7 years and need a revision; so I don't push it by sleeping fully inflated or staying inflated beyond a satisfactory session for both parties, but that's just me.

For the first few months after my implantation, I keep some % of inflation to sleep. Now that I am experiencing tips pain in my glans, I keep it completely deflated, hopping for things to improve. Retrospectively, I do not think that it was a good idea

This has been talked about before. I almost hate to post my feelings but here goes. I feel like it was designed to be at empty or full. So I try to hit both ends of its range every other day. When cycling, I frequently fall asleep fully inflated much like it might be deflated for 2 days. I do not squeeze mine dry. I let it reach a fullness that it wants when empty.

This is just what I do. Its up to you to decide your path. So far, I'm happy with my results.

Dr Eid says in a couple videos that he has personally only seen one failed implant that the issue was in the actual cylinders. That says a LOT! Said the failure is mostly in the tubing and some in the pump. He states that the cylinders are virtually indestructible. Also I have had dogears since the first time I deflated. I personally do t see how you could NOT have them if the cylinder is bent over. I would bet that a lot of implanted have the dog ears if they would feel up the side of their shaft back in toward the pubic bone. If you bend a tube it’s just going to dogear to some degree. I usually leave a pump or two in mine to keep them from being so pokey although my tissue has toughened up to the point that it never physically hurts at all, you can just feel them as mine bends about 3/4” past my pubic bone and I have very little fat pad.
