Looking for Dr.

Postby Mastercard » Wed Oct 30, 2013 7:34 pm

I have been thinking about an implant for about 1 year. Getting close to saying yes.
With that being said, can anyone name a good Dr. in Baltimore.

Dr. Kramer did mine in June. Very happy with the results. In addition to being one of the most respected doctors in this specialty, he is one of the most personable doctors I have ever met in my life. Once you meet him, you will stop your doctor search. He is at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Look back through my posts from this summer. First inflation of Titan is probably the longest thread.

I guess I am in the same boat that proactive was in. About 6" before ED and peyronies with inches be lost as I type. I did speak with Dr Kramer last year and would agree that he was pleasant as we spoke. His use of the Titan with no consideration for the AMS concerned me at the time. Can you tell me why you choose the Titan over the AMS or is there no real difference. Since I am afraid to get it done if I do take the leap and what goes in will be permanent, I want to feel confident that what goes in is the best choice for me and not just a Doctor manufacturer agreement.

Dr. Kramer had both devices. LGX and the Titan in his office for me to look at. The LGX was made out of material that looked like a sturdy rubber balloon. The titan was made out of something that looked like I could not tear it in half if I tried. He thought the Titan stood a much better chance of correcting my peyronies. It has. no bend anymore. I have nothing against the LGX. Thousands of its customers are very happy with it and I am 90 percent sure that I would be as well if I had one.

There is no way for me to know if I would be happier with an LGX than my Titan. I know that I could not be happier with any other doctor though.

Dr. Kramer did say he would put a LGX in if that is what I really wanted. But if I was going with the LGX then I may have gone to someone that does more LGX than Titans. I think that John Hopkins in Baltimore also has a good team there, but I have no experience with them to pass along. I dont know if they prefer LGX over Titan or not.

I believe you are talking about the urology group called Chesapeake Urology. There was one Dr from that group I contacted named Dr Marc Siegelbaum.
He was the opposite, he only suggested the AMS. I went to a seminar that Dr Siegelbaum had in Towson Md. It was actually sponsored by the AMS
manufacturers. I think I will make another appointment with Dr Kramer to see if he can help me get rid of some of my fears. I know that my pain
tolerance on a level of 1-10 is 1 1/2. I went back and read some of Proactive posts and was feeling his pain just reading about it. I have been on
this fence for a long time, have been reading on this forum for some time and now just trying to find a way for someone to push me off the fence.
I do appreciate the comments and feedback from you guys and they may help me yet. I think the longer I stay on the fence the more the peyronies
effect is taking away inches.

Mastercard,
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in 2004.
The Titan completely corrected my ED and restored not only my sex life but also the emotional bond with my wife.
We celebrated our 51st Wedding Anniversary on September 8th.
In summary, I would do it again in a heart-beat!
Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or just to talk.
Best Wishes,
Bob
