Hi all,
Really have enjoyed reading through many of the topics on here and thought I’d might as well introduce myself. I’m 43 years old and happily married (23 years now). Very active (lift 5 days a week and shoot for ~10-15k steps daily).
I always had a bit of mostly what I’d consider psychological ED. Typically was able to get the job done, but in my mind struggled to switch positions with ease or to slow the pace down due to fear of losing erection. As I got older started having to take BP meds due to family history of high blood pressure. Noticed that negatively impacted libido and had a few failures here and there…more so when the meds had to be increased further to manage BP. About 5 years ago lost my father due to suicide which really put me in a bad place for awhile and was taking SSRIs and some anti-anxiety meds. At that point I really was noticing some performance issues though we were not really that intimate during this time (maybe just 1-2 times a month). Started taking the typical viagra/cialis which worked for awhile. However, about 2 years ago they just essentially stopped working, which gave me gave me a huge blow to my mental state (loss of self esteem, confidence, definitely some depression, and even a feeling of shame). At this time I also started making some major changes in my life…eating healthy and getting back into shape, focusing on being present as often as possible with both my wife and kids, getting back to attending church regularly, etc.
Most relevant to this forum… I ended up researching around and gave Trimix a try. As uncomfortable as I felt sticking a needle in my unit, this was hugely outweighed by the inability to perform and feel like a man. This was definitely a game changer, as I was able to do things I never thought was possible, primarily since I could put almost all my focus on how to best please my wife. I’ll leave further details for the injection forum, which I’m happy to share. I try to keep dosage as low as possible and will still occasionally use the oral meds when possible.
As of the last couple years, I’m currently intimate 3, sometimes 4 days a week…sometimes a bit more or less. We have 5 kids so finding a good time can be a bit difficult. . However, I strongly believe our relationship as a whole, not just intimacy, has become as strong as ever.
Sorry, that was quite a long winded introduction. Glad to be here and looking forward to reading the wide variety of topics discussed here. From what I can tell there are many very knowledgeable active members here.

Shock: Maybe your history of psychological ED is really low testosterone?
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

I get a pretty comprehensive blood test every 6 months to check other things including total and free testosterone. I’m up in the fairly high normal (~800 ng/dl). But everyone’s “normal” is quite variable so maybe it could not be as optimal as it could be. I’m sure inevitably it will decline with age and should it drop in the low levels along with having the typical symptoms of low energy, a bit of depression, etc. I have no issues considering go the TRT route. That definitely was the first area I looked into to try to determine the cause. In my 20s it was fairly rare not performing, 30s pretty good but experimented with the typical oral meds which were pretty successful.
