Who told you Clavell was $25,000? I paid $21,000, out-the-door, 10 months ago.

As did I, 8 months ago.

I can see where maybe he's bringing his price in line with other high volume, highly successful surgeons. He was a great deal at $21k when others were thousands higher, even Dr. Karpman near me with an unfriendly staff and poor bedside manner was much more expensive than Dr. Clavell. Perito and Eid were A LOT more money.

Since this surgery is like a grown man's Disneyland, maybe the prices are rising to try to slow down demand, just like they do at Disneyland. If insurance will pay it, seems like an understandable business move. Maybe they'll develop a self-pay price and an insurance price like auto body repair shops have done for decades.

Still......worth it.

Dr.Clavell was really affordable before at 21k but 25k seems too much now if you don't have insurance and come from Europe. Is Hakky still at 22k as I have read before? He is as good as Clavell and Eid and is still young ,so thats a bonus.

congrats! I just had my surgery on Nov 1. so im 5 days post op. im 30 years old.

Just a heads up, ur next 24 hrs is gonna be the worst until u get that catheter removed. I remember my first night i was freaking out.
after that its pretty smooth sailing! I stopped taking pain meds by day 3!
and ice, ice, ice those nuts!

I would assume you have a phone. Have you considered calling his office and simply asking? Seems a better solution than trying to decide based on franktalk posts. Let us know what you find out.
