A very new area of interest is penile physical therapy. From exercises to stretching to vibrational therapy, it's all new and still being studied. This is where we can share techniques, exercises and successes.

Viberect and the Mind

Postby Milbob » Tue Feb 05, 2013 7:21 pm

I'm considering getting my Uro to prescribe the Viberect for my ED. I've come to the conclusion, and he agrees, that my biggest problem is performance anxiety. I'm on daily Cialis and have pretty dependable morning wood but draw a blank when in bed with my wife. My question is this: does the Viberect produce results regardless of one's state of mind (read lack of confidence) or is it more like the pills which "clear the pathways" but also need the emotional stimulation to work. Any feedback and/or personal experience would be appreciated.

Corvetteman3,

How long have you used the Viberect? Did your physician have any problems with you getting it since a prescription is required.

Why does it require a prescription and why does it cost $299.00?

I got my Viberect a few weeks ago. Prior to it arriving, I did the exercises as prescribed. My reaction to using the Viberect was interesting. I used the exercise to get blood into my penis, then put the Viberect on the head. He did not like that and immediately deflated. I then reverted to my old standby method and got him semi hard banging him against my thigh. I have been able to get to orgasm using the banging the thigh method, but I really wanted the Viberect to have some effect, anything! It finally happened and that Viberect orgasm blew my mind.

Yes, there is most definitely a mind element to using the Viberect. It is taking some getting used to doing this in front of my wife. She said the same thing when we used the toys on her together. It just takes familiarity. I have not yet had the Viberect make an erection harder, or even keep one. As long as it blows my mind, I do not mind.

I think it has something to do with medical devices being fiendishly expensive in general. There is not a lot of competition and they are allowed to charge outsized prices far outstripping what it takes to make the devices. Is it worth $299? That depends on how well it works for me. So far so good.

Medicare does not cover Viberect. They are covering fewer and fewer men's sexual health products.
The VA does cover the Viberect.
Do remember that it does not work on the first several times. It takes at least 2-3 weeks for results to show up. If you try once, it will not work. That is not the intention. It takes a while to retrain the nerves. The whole program should take 6-9 months for best results.
