How does an implant affect a penis over time?
For people with PD, we retain some erectile function hopefully even after implant. Some erectile tissue is spared and the ability for blood to flow in to the corporas is not destroyed with the implant is this correct? So with having an implant across many decades, will it affect these tissues in a negative way? If i have blood flow at the beginning of having an implant, will i have the same bloodflow after 10/20 years? Hard to answer i know but id just like some input of implanted people on this.

I didn’t have PD. My experience is that arousal still gives me the warm tingle from some blood flow into my dick, but not nearly enough for an erection. That ability is gone.
But, that sensation of some blood flow, with an engorging glans is pretty much the same sensation of sexual arousal as before. Just gotta pump it up to make it hard. Feels great with the combination of a pumped up dick and whatever natural blood flow/engorgement that does occur.

Same for me, i get good blood flow for morning wood and when excited, almost good enough to bang, glands still swell nice, then when pumping up with a bj and or hand job feels great. 96% satisfaction, i bet its even higher with high volume docs should tell you all you need to know, fake tits/ pick any plastic surgery, or real surgery, 96 percent happy is un heard of. Nothing in life is guaranteed, if having ed is bothering you, then fix it.

More specifically to your question. There are two separate blood supplies. One that fills the cavernous for an erection. When an implant is installed this no longer occurs. The other gives engorgement along shaft and in the glands the implant should not effect the engorgement one. If your concerned that the one that gave erection is stopped could it adversely effect your dick, my answer would be no. men that don’t get an implant and never can get an erection again there is no damage to their penis except it will shrink from not getting an erection and stretching it out. This blood supply only affects the erection. There are many other blood vessels that supply blood to your member to keep it alive .
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

The implant operation pretty much destroys the tissues that enable erections. So, the spared tissues are compromised for sure. Few men (but some - maybe 50% in one study I read) do recover some erectile function but only one out of the cohort of 100 subjects was able to get erect enough once in a while to vaginal achieve penetration. I guess from your question, you know this already.
I have had my implant 6 years and the limited erectile function I had (almost zero) is still at that level.
Note that my spongiosum engorgement seems to be about the same as immediately after the implant.

If I am about 20% pumped, which I am most of the time, I can actually get enough blood flow for an erection hard enough for penetration. I need constant stimulation and It’s obviously less hard than being fully pumped but equal to a normal blood filled erection. In fact, I haven’t used the pump for masturbation now for a good few months.
I had PD and not ED so I guess that helps

Jimmi85 Interesting, how big was your girth before implant if i may ask? So do you recon arousal is the same as pre implant? Like when you see/touch a girl you still feel the same blood flow as before down there or is the sensation diminished in any way?
Do you think implant is a reasonable course of action for a person with mild peyronies with constantly decreasing size and that cant be free in his sexlife because of this?

Thanks for your reply, so lets say i still get some bloodflow in my corporas after implant, do you think this bloodflow will be the same after a few years? does the constant pressure of the implant affect these tissues in any way?
Is your spongiosum engorgement the same as before implant?

I highly doubt that with the corpora cavernosa destroyed by the insertion of an implant it is possible to have an erection, at most one can have a sensation of erection, 90% of those who have an implant do not have erections either with pills or with injections, let alone if we put the destroyed corpora cavernosa there

As far as I can tell, my corpora don't have any erection capability at all. On the other hand, I definitely get engorgement in the head and around the urethra. When I am first starting to get aroused I sometimes feel a sort of tingle and growth sensation even before I have done any pumping. And after sex, it's harder to deflate my cock right away because other stuff in the area is swollen and sensitive. So I normally take it down a good bit right away and then more fully after a while.
Implanted June, 2022 by Dr. Karpman. 22cm Titan with 1.5cm RTE.
