total cost of the procedure

Postby soulforged » Mon Dec 16, 2013 12:24 am

for anyone who hasnt read my last threads: i suffer from ed and curve after trauma and i need an implant even though im just 22,since theres a lot fo scar tissue i cant find a surgeon in my country who will do the surgery(come to think of it i dont think i even trust them to)
so i thought about saving money and having it done in the us,how much will does the procedure+implant+follow up vists will it cost?
if ill do it ill stay in the us untill im totally healed(which is probably 2-3 month) so i can calculate staying costs but i have no idea how much the procedure will
anyone knows?

My procedure was $25,000 and insurance covered it. I did stay in the hospital which adds to the overall expense.

It is my understanding that my surgeon, Dr. Edward Karpman who is in the San Francisco Bay area, has an arrangement with the hospital that results in a total cost of around $18,000, including an overnight hospital stay during which IV antibiotics are given around the clock.
I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.
