This is of real interest to me.

I used an autoinjector back when doing Trimix. It literally slammed the needle into me and shot the mix in microseconds. Left me with a bruise most times. Check into newer injectors though, as one guy reported finding one that pushed the needle in, then allowed the user to push the injector manually.

I feel like I am walking in the dark in this new world. Different strengths of Trimix, what to inject. Any advice on the way forward would be most appreciated.

You clearly missed on your first attempt. Read as many of the threads in the "Injections" sub-forum as you can stand. Educate yourself.

I've been using 31 gauge needles and I've only bent a needle once. Using a little care bent needles isn't a problem. Use the gauge that works best for you. If the 29 gauge works best for you then use those.

I use 5/16" length needles but it seems about half the guys do better with 1/2" needles. Experiment and find what works best for you. I bury the 5/16" needle and even press the plastic nub into my flesh a bit.

If you use an auto injector you will need 1/2" needlesas the 5/16" are too short for those. I also don't like the auto injectors. They don't give enough control or feel to determine proper placement. However, a lot of guys are very happy with them.

What mix did you get? I've been using an 80mcg/ml alprostadil mono-mix happily for years. I experienced the alprostadil dick ache initially but it moderated and then eventually went away with continued use. Some guys never get the ache. About 20% of guys never can tolerate alprostadil.

Good luck.

Agree with Old Guy, bldoink, and Txagq8 re auto injectors. I want to control the needle path.

Your goal is to inject into a corpus cavernosum, but this commonly-used diagram shows ERECT corpora; the corpus you inject is much thinner. Picture a clock face - if you're trying to hit the right corpus on the diagram, aim from a 1, 2, or 3 o'clock angle. If you're trying for the left corpus, aim from 9, 10, or 11 o'clock. There's an important nerve on the top, 12 o'clock, as well as a vein and artery - don't get near there!

The skin surface, and the second layer down have a fine network of nerves, and being wimpy about pain I try to put the needle between nerves fibers. I walk the needle around on the skin testing for a place between nerves, then push in to the second skin layer; if I get pain I start over. Eventually I'll get the needle through the skin and I'll get an indentation because it's against the tunica or tough covering of the corpus. Think sausage casing. I continue to slowly push and eventually it painlessly breaks through into the corpus. Now I test for absence of pain by pushing the plunger the tiniest distance to get the smallest possible drop of Trimix out of the needle. No pain - I'm in the corpus and the plunger should then have no more resistance to travel than if the needle were in air. If these two conditions don't hold, I push the needle in a little more and repeat. Another failure - I pull out and try another spot.

After slowly injecting (about ten seconds), I pull the syringe out and squeeze or pump my length 6-8 times, because the two corpora have a few fluid connections and this gets some Trimix into the other corpus.

I inject only once a week and alternate sides each time, and pick different spots along my length, in case the speculation that injecting causes scarring is true. This spreads out any tissue damage from the needle, although some claim that Trimix itself causes scarring. (After seven years of injecting, I have no apparent scarring.)

You must plan to titrate up slowly, only twice or three times a week, being sure that you're in the corpus. This slow procedure avoids priapism. It took me three weeks to find my best Trimix quantity. If you have a four-hour erection that you can't reduce with the antidote, go to an emergency room, where they will drain the corpora. I was told that at six hours the tissues run out of oxygen and gangrene begins. That happening, you must get your penis amputated! :!:

Thanks for your input, however one of my fears with the needle is I do not have anywhere near your girth. At full erection perhaps 3 inches, so the half inch needle going in a flaccid penis is a bit daunting.
Are there any medications to increase girth (or all the options snake oil)?

I’m meeting with a urologist/surgeon in mid March. I am past the injection stage. I don’t like the needle and due to misfires I’ve decided to go for an implant. Trimix works well when injected perfectly but I want a 24/7 dick ready to go as needed.

Divorced 12 years. Several small relationships since. All have experienced Ed at times.
Current affair is on the rocks
Injections helped me screw for hours. She came well and enjoyed.
Pills don’t work
Type 2 diabetes and multiple medications are suspected to be the cause. I get it.

My main question is about the malleable implant?
I think that I want it as the first procedure. I read that many men with three piece rigs have gone to malleable after failures with the pumps and other issues

I also want the recovery to be as mild as possible. Assuming that the three piece involves my abdomen and scrotom.

Any thoughts?
I’d appreciate responses

Thank you

Hey Salty, thanks for chiming in. I would be cautious with the implant unless you feel that is the only option. Talk to others on this board that have it.
Speaking honestly, if Trimix is working, why bother with the implant?
Personally, I am still in the injection discovery mode, trying to get the right dosage and volume of Trimix, but the needles seem far less cumbersome than the implant.
Could be me and my rather new perspective.

Good luck. you might want to start a NEW TOPIC and call it To Implant or Not Implant, that is the question.

Good luck

Bud: I also have a thin penis, so I use 5/16in. (8mm) needles (31 gauge.) I switched from 1/2in. years ago when I found that I could go right through a corpus. That isn't a problem (except for not getting the Trimix where it's supposed to go). Of course I could still use the 1/2in. length, just not pushing it in all the way.

I've also perforated the urethra once or twice, and that's not a problem, even though some blood comes out the pee hole for a short time.

Many guys have wondered, but I've never seen anything proven to increase girth or length here on FT. I guess we're stuck with our little ones. :?
