But I'm definitely looking for something that'll last and won't break the bank with maintenance costs (Malleable), especially since I'm not in a spot to handle Mercedes-level (Inflatable) upkeep right now. :D

I wish I had your common sense 4 surgeries ago.

Man, it's tough, I tell you. I met with two top-notch urologists both are Coloplast Centers of Excellence in the US, and neither of them were encouraging the idea of going for a Malleable on me. It's weird how things work here in the US. Over in India, unless you're loaded, doctors usually don't even suggest the inflatable option. It's only by hearing stories from people like you that we get to uncover these differences. Oh, and that Toyota/Mercedes comparison? I got that from Dr. Ashish Sabharwal from India – dude does like 50 malleable surgeries a month and still answers questions in YouTube!

Even my doctor here in Egypt was suggesting IPP over MPP .... As he was taking near look over my financial status through my 1st visit .... But he faced my insisting on having regi10 malleable implant ... Even he is the one who invented the GHATTAS technique for penis sized over 14 mm so they can do MPP ... But as most worldwide doctors he still prefer the IPP to make a fortune on our behalf

Lmao

These surgeons are greedy as can be, especially in USA.

They insist on the IPP

Because for one, it costs more, but also they can charge the insurance a lot more. Its also a guaranteed revision and 9 out of 10, the patient will return to the surgeon who did the primary implantation

They KNOW the malleable outlasts the inflatable and could probably last a lifetime. They’re not your friends. Ask yourself this, if the IPP fails, probably because they messed up somehow, would they do the revision free of charge? They won’t

Many don’t even mention the malleable at all in their videos and maybe only have a very small section on their website that mentions malleables and always saying is for older patients with “hand issues” lmao

So true! Does MPP surgical procedure cost less than IPP in Egypt? I was thinking the cost difference is almost the same.

Your reasoning makes total sense. My uro keeps saying that malleable is for those who got paralyzed by stroke and don't have hand dexterity. Tough to talk back in the office.

It's now clear that they're pushing inflatables to the max, they're breaking all the time...

My dr. pushed the mallabble on me for my age and health issues as far as healing. Another practice that is not a fan of the mallabble would have pushed a inflatable on me. I have had a stroke and it affected my left hand temp to some degree. The other thing I was told by the NP that I would daily have to pull the pump down and inflate it everyday like exercise .. my ass does not go to the gym so don't see me doing that just know my nature. The mallabble works .. no real loss in size more loss from have ed for a year before the implant after the last stroke. I'm diabetic and that makes me high risk for an infection more than the average man. Never having had an inflatable I cannot not speak on how they look ..feel. .or operate.

Makes me wonder how much extra money the surgeon makes with IPP compared to MPP!

They make more money on IPP as the implant itself costs more, so they can charge the insurance more based on this.

The manufacturers who are the ones that sell the implants to surgeons, charge more inflatables prosthesis than malleables for obvious reasons, there are more parts and components

The IPP also increases the chances of revisions and patients coming back to you, as in most cases to get warranty on these implants, you need to go to the same surgeon

If warranty covers, it will only cover the implant, but not the surgeon fees, anesthesia, etc.

At the end of the day, they are running a business, and have people to feed, employees to pay, bills, etc.

If your insurance covers everything or all you have pay is maybe a couple thousands, then IPP makes more sense, but if it the whole payment is coming out of YOUR pocket, then it makes no sense at all unless you're rich and have plenty of money to be spending 10s of thousands at any moment if the implant were to fail

If I was rich, Id get the inflatable, but I'm not, just an average nobody with average salary just trying to get a non failing dick

I have good insurance and have decided against getting an IPP

I'm going to talk to Dr Levine again about a malleable. Last time I saw him Rigicon wasn't as well established. I know he collaborated with Rigicon in making a surgical tool, so he knows the company well

Last time he advised against malleable (or I should say his assistant did...he just shook his head no when I brought up a malleable). If he advises against it again I will continue to live without an implant

I just can't deal with a pump and tubes and the prospect of having a machine in my genitals that can break
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is sexual health expert Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. I also have mild BPH

It costed me 3150 USD
While in the same time on July 2022 the IPP would cost me around 21000 USD
