I am 3 yrs post radiation treatment for prostrate cancer and testosterone removal. 81 years old but was previously sexually active with my wife. I have tried trimix at several concentrations and amounts plus vacuum but it resulted in pain and only very brief erection. Only slight arousal. Surgery scheduled for implanting AMS 700 on April 7.

62 year old happily married for 35 years who has been following the discussions for quite some time now. Felt it was time to pay it forward and help others with my experiences with initial implant and subsequent revision surgery. Excited to contribute.
Radical Prostatectomy in 2015; failed pills, straight to Coloplast Titan in 2019 by Dr. Valenzuela in NYC, Replaced with AMS 700 CX in 2022 by Dr. Darshan Patel in San Diego, CA. Wish I jumped to an implant even before prostate cancer!

Although not new, I'm returning after a long absence. Love chatting, and hearing good stories about successes. I'm married, 78 years old, love sex of any kind, literally and my wife and I are active. I jo about three times a week. I'm shaved and enjoy nude sun bathing. I live in t HD Daytona area in Florida. The AMS LGX is awesome. Gives me 7.5 or more length and a good 5 in girth. Looking forward to renewing chats.

I’m new to this forum. I’m writing to share my experience which may be useful to others. I am 82 years old and have suffered from ED for 20 years, mostly due to sever cardio-vascular problems. I had prostate cancer 3 years ago and was treated with proton beam therapy. The treatment was very effective, and my PSA remains stable at 0.2.

I had tried pills and injections with no success and VED with success, but with the common complaints. I decided that life was too short to continue that way and so, I researched implants. I was implanted on September 26, 20022 with a Coloplast Titan 18 cm +1cm & 1.5 cm RTEs. Over 20 years of no erections, I had lost obvious dimensions, but my use of the VED did some preservation and my surgeon commented that I had good girth. He said that the Coloplast Titan would be the best choice for me. He also recommended that I use the VED to regain as much length as possible during the two months leading up to my surgery.

The surgery went well and recovery was average. I was a grower before but was surprised to see I am now a shower. I used to be 4.5 in. flaccid. I’m now 7.5 flaccid and 7.5 erect. Girth at the base is 7.5 in. and mid-shaft 7.0 in. I’m very pleased.

I thought I had escaped all of the nasty side effects of prostate cancer treatment (except ED) but about 6 months ago, I was surprised by wet pants. I know this is not uncommon, but it wasn’t supposed to happen to me. I researched all the options for dealing with incontinence. I even wore a clamp with some success, but two hours was enough, so it was limiting.

Then I discovered a study from Korea where several men who had had radical prostatectomies and suffered both ED and incontinence, were all implanted with inflatable penile prostheses. They found that inflating from 30% to 90% was able to keep them dry in 72.2% of cases, with no other treatment. I thought, “I can do that!” so I inflated to 60% and it worked. I began to daily reduce the percentage of inflation to test how much was needed to control the leakage. I reached the sweet spot at 30%. Less than that I was insecure.

Then I came upon the idea of inflating to 100% while sleeping at night and not inflating during the daytime. It worked, and now I go about my daily activities without a thought of leaking. It worked for me. I can’t promise it will for you, but you have nothing to lose in trying. I hope this is useful. I’m happy to answer questions.

I’m new here… age 66 and had my AMS 700 CX implant April 17th. It took two visits over about 6 months to build up
The nerve to do it … it’s been 70% inflated for 3 weeks and is sore and and keeping it zipped up in my jeans while inflated
Is uncomfortable. I’ve tried tonight to find the deflate button but haven’t felt it yet. Thank goodness I go back May 14th and they’ll help me find the deflate. I guess it’s okay… I read an article in an urology journal that one urology group recommends after surgery leaving it 60-80% inflated for six weeks. I should have followed others suggestions to buy some looser jeans.

Hi,
Unfortunately, unless the policy has recently changed, women are not permitted to join this forum and your account will get deleted soon. We understand your probable desire to learn about this topic. There are other venues where you can join as a woman and discuss these topics. Ideally you could have your man join the forum and be able to access the knowledge base through him. I believe the reason that the forum restricts women from joining is so that the men will feel more free to be open in their discussions.

Good luck.
