New Member - Denver Area, Looking for Guidance

Postby Acesand8s » Fri May 31, 2024 3:31 pm

Hi everyone!

I am a new member. I am 28, single, and live in Colorado. I wanted to introduce myself and perhaps seek out some advice.

It is humiliating to admit this, but this past March I began doing penis enlargement exercises for several weeks. After doing some research I figured that so long as I didn't mess with anything while erect, I would be safe and could perhaps go from a grower to a shower. I stretched my penis while flaccid, I did not use any devices or pumps. At no point did I feel any sharp pain or hear any popping noise. After several weeks, I noticed that I stopped getting spontaneous erections and that it took a lot of stimulation to maintain an erection. My libido also seemed to drop. I stopped doing these exercises because I figured it wasn't a good idea.

After several days, I started to get a pain in the base of my shaft near the testicles, on the underside, that seemed to be exacerbated with walking. I also noticed that my penis no longer seemed to retract when flaccid and just remained in a longer state. I also have much larger superficial veins on top and some of my veins are darker, especially underneath glans. I still am not getting nearly as many spontaneous erections as I once did and my erections typically seem weaker.

It has been about three months since these symptoms appeared and most remain. I have been to several urologists. Most were not concerned at all and I just got the "it's all in your head, here's a cialis prescription" treatment. I also got a doppler US. He injected me with 5U trimix. After ten minutes, I was about 60% hard. The PSV was around 22 cm/s at that point and the EDV was 2 on one side and 0 on the other, so he said I did not have a VL.

Mentally this has been brutal. After just beginning to recover from a bad breakup I felt like this stupid, stupid mistake has ended my life. I know this mindset is not contributing to my recovery but I am not sure where to turn.

At this point, I still have some physical symptoms, but I am not sure how much of my diminished erection quality and libido is a function of actual injury and how much is due to the depression. I can still get an erection without stimulation if I really focus, but the fact that my penis looks different and the fact that I still have some pain makes me think I really do have a physical issue. I am going to try pelvic floor PT next week and try to take cialis consistently for a few months to see if that helps, but I am not sure where to go after that. The idea that I've permanently damaged myself and that it could bar me from being in other romantic and sexual relationships is really weighing on me.

Anyway, I am so happy to have found this forum and all the knowledge contained within it. I am wondering if anyone could offer advice on next steps, as I am action oriented and want to figure out where to go from here. I would also take recommendations for good urologists near me or further away if that's what it takes.

If you've made it this far into the novel thanks for reading! Thank you all!!!!

It’s all the ex’s fault. You’re young, healthy, well hung and probably good looking. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Relax and you’ll be fine!

Stay away from the Cialis/Viagra if possible, I recently noticed tinnitus symptoms where there were none before so I won't be taking any over the next four months to see if it subsides. When I did take Viagra it was only 25mg at a time, but the Cialis was 20mg.. Both seemed to help with my ED, but I enjoy the silence much more.

You are young, and like Chicago said, a lot of it could be psychological. Stay away from the stretches, sounds like you irritated something, even though you felt no issues, and like any pulled muscle or tendon you need to rest it and let it heal. Maybe even try a "slightly warm" rice bag/sock to promote blood flow to your groin area.

Don't let the pill pushers have their way, it's not their penis, and from some of the stories I've read on here they got their degree online! Most don't seem to be current with anything except their billing!

Relax-relax-relax, it sounds like you'll be fine, I think you're over-stressing yourself out because a minor strain.
Retired 65 y.o. Married. Moderate ED since 2019. Use constriction band ocassionately to help maintain erection, or Cialis/Viagra. Nocturnal/morning erections returning with VED usage. Lower libido than before.

Hi

It's good that you had a Doppler ultrasound, that establishes with quite certainty what is happening in your penis at the level of blood flow, without me being an expert and only from what I spoke with the doctors and what I have investigated, you do not seem have a venous leak, this is diagnosed from the constant 5 cm/sec of blood outflow through the veins, the blood inflow seems low, if you do not have any diagnosed arterial disease, then doctors begin to look for causes outside the penis . If you had something physical, the doctors would most likely have detected it with the Doppler.

Stress and anxiety are deadly for erections.

Seeking to modify your penis and convert it from a penis of blood to a penis of flesh (grower and shower), could give you clues as to where the anxiety or discomfort comes from.
As an aside, trying to do that is like trying to turn a marathon runner with specific muscle fibers into a 100m sprinter with other different muscle fibers. In the penis it is the same, the conformation of the cavernous bodies of the penis is different and cannot be changed, at least until now.

There are some safe things that can be done but they are done by doctors in the operating room.

Maybe we should move away from porn stereotypes and couples looking for a specific penis, with certain dimensions that do not bring anything good to men's peace of mind.

Psychological, control stress and anxiety, to lower your stress hormone levels

Physically, improve the strength of your arterial system, with intense and vigorous exercise, check your testosterone hormone levels (which at your age surely won't be a problem), don't take magic pills, you will hurt yourself again

Find a doctor you trust and listen to him.

ED medications can help you improve confidence and blood flow, which is its main function, but improve the rest.

Aces: If libido is down, get testosterone checked. Regardless of age, it can drop suddenly or slowly for weird reasons (see my signature).
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I stopped doing the stretches even before I noticed an issue because I realized it was foolish. I definitely think some of it is psychological, and I'm trying to work on my stress levels. I got my testosterone checked and it was normal.

I am still super freaked out since I've noticed changes to my flaccid (bulging veins and doesn't turtle up).

The pelvic floor PT thinks there could be some sort of nerve entrapment so I will continue to do the stretches and hope with time that this improves.

Mentally, I don't really know what to do to recover. This has sent me over the edge a bit. I am afraid to date/have sex for fear it won't work. I will have to figure this out
