Why not just replace the tubing, instead of full replacement?

Tokyo123, if they are going to cut on my pecker again, we are going all the way, I cannot tell you that there may not be more issues with the unit after 5 yrs, lets just remove the whole thing.

I started with ED 8 years ago, since then, on TRT and taking pills, lately they don't work very well, with diminished effect and terrible gastroesophageal reflux as a side effect. I've been thinking about the implant for a few years, but even with my problems, I'm still fucking my beautiful wife. I can't imagine getting the implant 3 years back and having a revision now because it failed, that's why I won't touch my penis with any surgery until I can no longer get erections. Maybe I can last 8 more years and it would save me surgeries, money and implants.
55 y/o, Athletic and healthy but I need pills to have sex, lately I need higher doses and I have side effects... Mentally preparing for the implant, since I still have many years left to enjoy sex with my beautiful wife who is 24 years younger than me.

Almost 19 months in Titan one touch and going strong. Good to hear from those who have years under their belt. If something breaks , it breaks. I'm not worried about it.

I'm thinking partly cost. The things that goes bad on the Titan, as I understand is 1. the tubing and 2. the pump. The external bag lasts forever, and the large cylinders in the penis are overall reliable.

However, I could see replacing those large cylinders just to resize the unit, make that more accurate.

There are plenty of guys in the world who are enjoying many years of satisfaction with their Titians and AMS too for that mater. But they are off enjoying life. Nothing in it for them to keep coming back to this site until a new problem develops.

One reason is a a tubing repair requires cutting out the bad section to replace it with a new section of tubing. That requires two crimp connectors which are rigid and more bulky than the tubes themselves so they can be felt more prominently. Also, connections become the most likely place to fail again in the future.

Saving the reservoir has some merit if not too old and staying with the same brand of implant. But it’s much better to have fresh factory pre-connected cylinders and pump assembly than a bunch of connectors in your scrotum IMO.
