It's been my experience that some myths just won't die. Neither brand of implant currently sold in the USA has much chance of giving you more girth than what your body will allow or you ever had.
Case in point. I have that non girthy AMS implant. I have an honest 6" girth. Where did that come from someone might ask? Simple, I always had a lot of girth & my CX delivered it back. Getting an AMS IPP did not subtract any girth from me. I read several years of old FT posts before my implant. I came to the conclusion that there is a lot of urban legend stuff going on here.
In my case, living in the vast wasteland of the west. It took a long time to find an implant dr. Thus my surgery was delayed more than it should of been. Basically there is only two implant drs within 500 miles of me. My dr does not use Coloplast & I think the other one will use a Coloplast occasionally.
I deliberately wouldn't reveal my sizes until I had my implant for 6 months. I had seen keyboard experts latch onto a size mentioned during the recovery period & never update the song & dance as the guy grew.

The wife and I are super happy with my implant. I'm glad I didn't go the last resort route and got the titan. My thought process is get the implant and enjoy great sex while you can. I don't care how it looks soft as long as it comfortable and so far the titan isn't uncomfortable and my wife loves the way it looks and feels when pumped up. I did have pyronies and that's the major reason I went the the titan, it fixed the pyronies without any special surgery for that.
44, had pyronies with ed for several years

Other than my marriage it's one of the best things I could have done. Yes the first one failed but I got another one installed this week and can't wait to use it. It is not the easiest of surgeries, especially the first time but in the long run it's worth it to me. I have had surgeries that are far worse than the first implant.

There's a lot of good information in here. Some true, some false. Like many have said, "Everyone is different".
My surgery was done perfectly for me.
The URO explained everything and every step to my satisfaction.
He answered all my 52 interview questions.
The surgery was a 9 - 10.
No penis or scrotum dis-figuration.
No excess pain. Much less than I expected.
Healing process was fast and great. Again much better than I expected.
Cycle / Deflate.....That was the worst part of the entire process. I rate it a 2. Maybe less. But most of that was from my fear of damaging the components. Once I learned from the AMS Support person, that you can't damage any of those parts, it became easier for me to deal with. The Cycle / Deflate process, was the most difficult part to deal with.
Now that I am healed (4 1/2 months out). I feel damn great.
My length is a little less than what I thought it would be. But I learned that at the time of my interview. But I'm working on length, with Cycling and exercises.
My surprise and gift, the Girth is way better than it was. Don't know why it is more girth, but wifey said, where you gonna put that thing? She was damn pleased and so was I. It's nice and really a fat chubby thing.
The big plus of it all........It works. I have passed the three (3) test. Jerkoff, blow job. and damn good sex.
So is it work it?.....with a couple years of ED......The Implant process is damn worth it. And I thank the brothers in hear that put forth the benefits of this process. Thanks guys.

I don’t tell other men not to get one. I tell them to exhaust all other options and leave no question unasked. Assume nothing.
The Coloplast Titan I have feels unnatural as hell and the dog ears were not explained to me until AFTER the implant was done. I had no idea that my dick would feel like it had a crumpled up soda bottle in it. When he said “natural”, I took him at his word. Wrong.
True...
Life is FULL of trade-offs.
Soft dick, no sex
Pills, stuffie nose-blue vision
Injections, ouch!-Plack build-up
Implant, AMS looks nice soft, no girth-Coloplast dog ears soft, great girth
Trade-offs
All we really want is a stiff dick! I, for one, don't care what it looks like soft. Unless you're an exhibitionist or devout nudist, your dick is tucked away in your tighty-whities.
5 years ago, I had a soft dick, NOT now.

Yes, but when you have a very young wife who loves to play with your dick touching and sucking it also when flacid, you need a nice flacid...
55 y/o, Athletic and healthy but I need pills to have sex, lately I need higher doses and I have side effects... Mentally preparing for the implant, since I still have many years left to enjoy sex with my beautiful wife who is 24 years younger than me.

For the dog ears, can't you leave it a little inflated ?

Not really, if I pump it up to get the dog ears out it’s too stiff to bend. Even deflated, I look semi-erect. Deflated, I can’t bend it down in my briefs and it’s only slightly comfortable in one upward position. If I lay down, the head of my penis is up off of my stomach when deflated. It does not look nor feel natural at all.
