Easymoney, I'm really looking forward to an explanation for this. How can this happen in the 7th month?

I asked the dr. the same question got no real answer ..will be pressing him for more answers my next visit on this issue as well as a few others .. I hate smoke and mirrors and feel at times this is all that I am getting ..

Thanks man. Makes sense, you don't want another surgery now, until 1 year passes where the capsule forms nicely around the implant.

What info do you have on hand about this subject ? I typed in ;
how long does it take for a capsule to form around a object after surgery and will it increase it in mass.
and i get ,#1 a capsule is another word for scar tissue, and second <the answers are about breast implants . If i change the wording to penile implants or malleable implants then it goes off the rails to implants in general .
But in short ,the scar tissue with the answer on breast implant sites says it starts to form within days .
on malleable implants there is no answer if it adds girth around the implant. My guess is if so ,it's not noticeable.

Scar tissue, or a fibrous capsule, begins to form around the implant within days after surgery. This is part of the body’s natural response to a foreign object.
Intermediate Phase (1 to 3 Months):
The capsule continues to develop and thicken over the next few weeks to months. Fibroblasts, which produce collagen, play a significant role in this process.
Maturation Phase (3 to 6 Months):
The fibrous capsule becomes more organized and reaches its full thickness and strength. The collagen fibers align and mature, stabilizing the implant within the body.

The formation of a fibrous capsule around the implant generally does not significantly increase its mass or girth in a noticeable way. Some patients might experience a slight change in the feel or firmness of the implant due to the scar tissue, but this change is typically minimal and not readily apparent. The primary purpose of the capsule is to stabilize the implant and integrate it with the surrounding tissues, enhancing the overall functionality and comfort of the implant over time. For malleable penile implants, the formation of the capsule is crucial for stability. If I could ever have any luck with my mallabble I'd might be able to give an opinion on how scar tissue forms .. between them cutting me back open a month after implanting thinking I had an infection which I did not ... then 7 months later the right rod starts trying to come out the side of my penis .. now in week 3 of a revision trying to heal having more pain now that in the other 2 surgeries combined .. Supposed to be one of the simplest implants as far as surgery and healing etc ..but this one has proven to be anything but ..

good find on that , thanks .i have had my implant about 3 months and don't notice any differnce in girth from the capsule or the capsule itself .

I think that even if the fibrous capsule is stronger, it will not become engorged with blood like the spongy erectile tissues. Instead, it merely acts as a protective barrier around the implant, preventing displacement and drastically reducing the probability of infection from bacteria after 3 months.

Unfortunately for you it was doctor error . God speed on your recovery . you should be close to it now .

Easymoney has the best malleable surgeon in the US. I believe it was unfortunate luck with the first device. No one is immune to bad luck sometimes in life. I sincerely hope the second one proves to be even better and stronger than ever.

everything I read here makes me even more afraid of revisions, infections etc. I think you become a vaginal encker
