Penetration Speed
Penetration Speed
This may be a dumb question but for those of you that inject by hand (no autoinjector) at what speed do you penetrate the needle into the penis? A careful slow speed, a medium speed, or a fast stab or price of the needle into the penis
Re: Penetration Speed
I do a careful slow speed. That way I can feel when I get through the cavernosa. You'll feel some resistance when you get to it but keep pushing until you feel it give in. Then you will know you are in and can start injecting the Trimix. I have had a 100% success rate using this method. I go in at 3 O' clock and 9.
73 years old, married 30 years, used Levitra successfully for 15 years, tried Cialis, Stendra and Viagra, they never worked, now using Trimix
Re: Penetration Speed
Medium I guess. The speed doesn’t matter you just want to go straight in and straight out.
You don’t want to be sweeping back and forth (tilting the plunger side to side) while the needle is inside as the edge of the bevel is razor sharp (obviously) and could slice through tissue unnecessarily causing more bleeding and scarring.
So whatever feels comfortable to you as long as it is controlled.

Re: Penetration Speed
The fast release Autoinject it caused a deformity on my penis, the slower the better
I had a trauma 2 years ago, caused me narrowing, dent and shortening. PRP injections three months ago=worse narrowing, and worse ED. Now I only have two choices: impotent or implant. Born in 1975, in a relationship with girlfriend fir 4 years

Re: Penetration Speed
I insert very slowly, just as Brad says. I find that using the thinnest needles, 31 gauge, I can get between first and second skin layer nerves, and thus insert painlessly. Move the point around on the surface until nothing is felt, then push very slowly.
Sometimes I'll hit a nerve deeper in, and I'll pull out and pick another spot.

Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.
Re: Penetration Speed
I also penetrate the needle slowly...but I also push the plunger in a slow methodical fashion. I did see one YouTube Video where a urologist recommended pressing the plunger slowly. By doing this you also decrease the likelihood of bruising, at least that's what the Doc says on the video.
70 year old legally separated retired health-care professional. ED began in my early 50's. Viagra worked great for about 5 years, then had cardiac by-pass surgery and eventually moved to injections about 10 years ago.
Re: Penetration Speed
I’ve mentioned this before. I was on bimix/Caverject/trimix/Quadmix for 32 years.
Whenever a nurse or doctor did an injection it was like sham bam quick. When I did them myself it was slow. Very slow. Agonizingly slow. But it worked for me.
What going slow did, over time, is allow me to become expert in where I was with the needle and is probably why, in 32 years, I had less than 10 misfires.
Also when I did get implanted, the doctor said I was remarkably clean - no fibrosis, no scar tissue, no Peyronie’s, nothing that caused any issues with sizing me properly and installing my LGX.
Slow is a little tougher to do for the squeamish…..it does drag the process out. By the same token, it doesn’t take many shots before you actually feel the layers of tissue the needle passes thru….the toughness of the tunica, and the lack of resistance when you get thru it and needle is in right place.
A rule I learned: if you get ready to depress plunger, and there’s any resistance at all, you’re in wrong place.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.
Re: Penetration Speed
I don't know what counts as slow or medium, but it's definitely not "fast".
Take your time to pick the spot, avoid veins etc, slowly push until you pierce the tunica and slowly inject the drug as to not cause damage. It's 1ml of fluid after all, better to not rush it and damage your tissues...

40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.
Re: Penetration Speed
Kinda what Hunchback said but not 1ml. More like 0.15ml
