How many years can I "buy" with injections?
How many years can I "buy" with injections?
Long story short I am a 25 year old guy and pills dont work at all. I guess I have venous leak. I want to try injections because I have nothing to lose since I am going the way of implant anyway in the future. But was wondering how many years can I delay the implant with injections? Anybody used them for at least 10 years? I was hoping to at least be 35 years old before I go the road of implant.
Venous like since I was 20 years old. Pills don't work too well. Thinking of implant in the future

Hi Frenchie
I used Trimix with good results for 8 years.
I am older than you, so maybe you will get more years out of it.
Everyone is different, so good luck. I hope it works for you.

Started with Viagra at age 40. Worked good for about 12 years.
Tried Trimix injections, worked great for about 8 years
Now Trimix no longer works.
I got implant on Oct 26th 2022.

It will just depend on how your venous leak progresses. Everyone is different.
When injections stop working it’s not that you developed a tolerance, it’s that the venous leak continued to get worse and worse until the effect of the medication couldn’t overcome how severe the venous leak becomes.
Lots of medical issues are progressive. For some of us (most of us it seems) venous leak is another example.
My venous leak seemed to get much worse fairly quickly. My dose (both the concentration of my medication and the volume of that medication I needed) increased rapidly over the first few years. But now I’ve been pretty stable on my (very high) injection dose for about three years. I’m really at the max concentration and taking 50units. Taking more doesn’t work any better. When this stops working it will be time for an implant.

55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

I am actually more worried about developing scarring than injections not working anymore. How often did you use it in average that you didnt get scarring?

How long have you been using them? Noticed any scarring?

Always wondered if injections leave some unknown future side effect. My opinion relates to your status, if you are single and dating injecting on a date is a challenge. If you are married or in a long-term relationship, you'll be able to make it a few years before the implant. If you have good insurance that will pay for the surgery now I would get it done sooner than later. Lack of erections lead to size loss over the years. Dealing with ED using pills and injections for 13 years left me an inch shorter.

I don't have Venous Leak, started Trimix in Feb, use about once a week to 10 days. How long can Trimix work for someone with a relatively healthy body.
Re: How many years can I "buy" with injections?
I really hate to say this.
The truth about “how much time can I buy with injections?” Is nobody knows. No two guys are the same.
Let me be an example. I was on injections for 32 years. Age 31 thru 63.
Truth be known I would probably have liked having an implant 10 years earlier.
By the same token the shots weren’t a total failure even when I had surgery. They’d still generate a damned good erection. My gripes were the shots sometimes made me too hard to cum and the longevity of my erection was pretty inconsistent. (Same dosage might give me 15 minutes or 3 hours).
In retrospect I would have liked having an implant when I first started fighting ED. But they didn’t have them in 1987. Hell, they didn’t even have Viagra or any other pill.
Bottom line is a guy can chug along with injections for a very long time. Maybe until the invent a new pill or nasal spray that’s foolproof. Heck, maybe they’ll come up with a cream or ointment that cures ED & gives you a fat 10 inch cock at the same time.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

I was able to survive injections for about 1 1/2 years, off and on....Just couldn't really take sticking a needle in my dick. That was never a manly thing to do. The VED Pump worked out better for me in the long run. My URO, finally convinced me, the Implant was the way to go. And she was right. Of course, I'm still getting use to the new modified body part. Like any body part, it takes practice to get use to the implant. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
72, AMS 700 LGX. Married to an Angel. Discovered ED at 67. Path = Diabetic, Supplements, Pills, Needle, Pump, and finally AMS 700 (2-8-24).

Nearly 15 years of Tri-Mix and ZERO negative side effects. Sex has been far better from 45 to 60 years old (and still going) than it was from 25 to 45 years old.
