My experience so far going bionic- 2 week post op

Postby Jgoody » Thu Jul 11, 2024 12:15 pm

43 yr old who has Ed in some form or fashion since early 20s. Some addiction struggles on & off. Pills worked for a long time but started not to. Bimix worked great but lost effectiveness and trimix hurt like a bitch. I started to develop scar tissue making the injections hard to do & sometimes wouldn't even work anymore. Boy I won't miss those fucking needles!
I was diagnosed with a arterial insufficiency & mild Peyronie's in a doppler test and decided to go bionic. That is what I was hoping for at that time because I hated the inconsistent/plan ahead/not travel friendly nature of the shots.
I was scared once it was scheduled & turned to this page which helped a lot but also added new concerns. I became obsessed up til & immediately after surgery.
Surgery went smoothly & surgeon said my scar tissue was superficial and not problematic. I was given a titan 24cm plus 1cm rte on both sides. Recovery sucked day 1 because I had a catheter in, which hurt & was just otherwise annoying as fuck. Once I removed a few hours early, it was all tolerable. Rested a few days which is hard for me as I am active but each day's gotten better.
Just had my 2 week post op early at 12 days. Dr Walsh (University of Washington) said I'm healing super fast & deflated me (I was partially inflated for last 12 days) & he inflated me to show me that the bend to the left I was a little worried about goes away. He was right & while more erect it went totally straight. Plus I had a crinkle in cylinder at the base on right side I was slightly worried about. Both were non concerns after he pumped & definitely after hearing his praise on our perfect outcome. This Dr is a stud & should have more praise on here. I only found a couple posts where he's mentioned, but in high regard.
Anyway, he cleared, in fact, encouraged me to to start cycling at 12 days! He said I can even have sex in 2 weeks which is only 4 wks since surgery! I thought both those milestones weren't until 6 wks minimum based on his pre surgery instructions & most experiences I've read on here. He also cleared me to get back into the gym lightly at first- which I've missed & typically go daily. Also said I can swim next week as we're going to AZ & it will be hot AF. I thought I would just have to watch everyone in the pool so that was amazing news too!
My whole experience has been pretty easy honestly & I'd say the what ifs or worries were as bad as or worse than the physical pain so far. I know I'm early in this being almost 2 weeks out but I'm excited for the future & my confidence has increased already. I was already confident I'd say but relying on pills then injections definitely made me feel like I was compensating or lacking in some way but I feel complete now. I am glad I made this leap & am happy to answer any questions to help anyone navigate this tough decision in an honest way. I left some stresses out like insurance denial & current appeal, paying out of pocket- 16.9k on 3 different credit cards (both wife & I) ouch, discussing with wife as it's something I didnt like to talk about, my wild addiction past, the embarrassment of trying to see a Dr about Ed in my 20s & not being believed, embarrassment of Doppler test with onlookers measuring my dick etc.
But I've even told a couple friends now which I thought would never happen initially but it's low key exciting now as I feel like I've been enhanced or improved, so it's just cool AF lol. Now I got a big flaccid shower when I was always a grower. Can't wait to pump it up. I was a little too sore after the doctor pumping and deflating yesterday, so I'm hoping to do my first session later today as it feels a little better to see where I'm at. I had a scrotal incision so testes kinda rebounded with a little swelling after his handling.
Anyway good luck to everyone & I'm happy to help in anyway. This board is awesome especially for someone like me who never talked about this with anyone and struggled to even with doctors.

Glad it’s going so well man! I was wondering, how did your friends react when you told them? Were you ever worried they would tell someone else?

Thanks man. Ya surprised I told them honestly. Had no intention of telling anyone really. I was drinking one time when I told one buddy. I just told him I broke my dick when I fell on a fence at work. Said there was some scar tissue & would get worse if I didn't (kinda true so didn't really lie) He seemed really interested & said it sounds actually awesome to have. He mentioned how cool it would be for times you overdrink or if you've been married awhile (which he has) & just aren't that excited for it sometimes or stressed out & how it would just work anyways. It was all positive. Honestly sounded slightly envious lol
The other friend I told is younger. I just told him I broke it & he assumed through sex I think cuz he is himself a slut haha. He asked me what happens after you cum & I told him you could keep going if you wanted or you deflate. He then said "so bro you can do coke or molly & just rail a chick all night? So you just went and upgraded your shit." He sounded stoked for me. So far I've just told 2 friends & the wifey knows, obviously. Going on a lil weekend trip tomorrow with the first friend I told & another good friend so I'll prolly tell him this weekend. I've known him for grip & know he's bought Viagra in Mexico before so he prob will be interested to hear about it. Oh & I told the first friend idk if I'm telling anyone else yet or how so I assume he'll keep it to himself unless I start bragging about being robocock or something. I'm not too worried now that I got it cuz seems like an upgrade tbh. And I'm still a badass I think lol

Congratulations, in a short time from now you are going to have super powers.
IMHO there is no greater feeling than getting your significant other off, then turning around and doing it again immediately after. (Woo-Hoo!)
When you change positions after a robust hour and your unit is still at Full Staff ready to go, is damn near the gates of Heaven in my world.

As a suggestion, try getting some cardio in- on the regular.
It would be a real tragedy to have spent all this time and money on a reliable implant just to find out your dick worked fine but the rest
of your body gave out.
Fitness is really important.

This implant has given ALOT of us a second chance at life.
Make the most of it.

Best wishes.

Do you mean, "turn HER around and do it again"??? :o
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

It’s a cheat code. We can go longer than any man and our dick stays hard as a rock on command. It’s tempting to do this even if you have a perfectly functioning dick. Life’s too short. Mine as well give girls a good deep dicking.

That's what I'm talking about guys! Thanks & yep I'm sorta a gym rat. Already been back last 4 days. Did my usual 200 flights yesterday. Healing has been pretty easy. I'm at 16 days now. Been pumping 2-3x day for 3 days now & accidentally masturbated twice now to make sure it works. Feels a little smaller in my hand but not too much. Hoping that comes back as I've read it does. Also feels flatter rather than round if that makes sense. But I'm so early and I can tell this is a cheat code. I like that analogy a lot
