I used Trimix with good results for 8 years.
I am older than you, so maybe you will get more years out of it.
Everyone is different, so good luck. I hope it works for you.

I am actually more worried about developing scarring than injections not working anymore. How often did you use it in average that you didnt get scarring?

I did use a VED to help from scarring.
I didn't inject on a regular schedule, but I would say at least once a week.
I did not have any scarring, but like I said everyone is different.
Started with Viagra at age 40. Worked good for about 12 years.
Tried Trimix injections, worked great for about 8 years
Now Trimix no longer works.
I got implant on Oct 26th 2022.

I've only been using for two years but never had to increase once and it fact I could decrease the dosage as I go along. My brothers been injecting for 20 plus and really hasn't increased much at all. Most people jump to implant for convenience not because injections flat out stop working.

I want to try injections because I have nothing to lose since I am going the way of implant anyway in the future. But was wondering how many years can I delay the implant with injections? Anybody used them for at least 10 years? I was hoping to at least be 35 years old before I go the road of implant.

It really goes on a case by case basis. Everyone responds differently to injections, both in terms of erectile quality and scar tissue development. The only way to find out is to try them.
Age 27. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, rings, healthy lifestyle, alternative meds.

I've been taking Trimix for a little over 10 years, however recently I have moved to using Quad-mix, at a much lower dose than when I last used Trimix. I'm much older than you, at 70, but I have found many factors come into play with the effectiveness of injections. It's a misnomer to think it will work automatically that you don't need any stimulation, or that anxiety won't be factor...for most guys all those things effect how Trimix works..IDK if you had a full medical work-up but seems 25 is very young to encounter a venous leak...Most ED is physiologically based, poor circulation etc....except if you had some sort of trauma to your penis.I think if you're careful in following the Trimix protocols of vary the injection sites, going over 24 hours between injections and maintaining good health habits you should be ok for some time.
70 year old legally separated retired health-care professional. ED began in my early 50's. Viagra worked great for about 5 years, then had cardiac by-pass surgery and eventually moved to injections about 10 years ago.

When injections stop working it’s not that you developed a tolerance, it’s that the venous leak continued to get worse and worse until the effect of the medication couldn’t overcome how severe the venous leak becomes.

Lots of medical issues are progressive. For some of us (most of us it seems) venous leak is another example.

My venous leak seemed to get much worse fairly quickly. My dose (both the concentration of my medication and the volume of that medication I needed) increased rapidly over the first few years. But now I’ve been pretty stable on my (very high) injection dose for about three years. I’m really at the max concentration and taking 50units. Taking more doesn’t work any better. When this stops working it will be time for an implant.

How long have you been using them? Noticed any scarring?

I’ve been using them somewhere between 8-10 years now. No scarring at all. I pay attention to injection technique. My urologist has checked from time to time and same thing, no scarring at all.
But some others seem to developed scars. Not sure if it’s just their body or their technique.

But the answer is, a long time with no scarring.

I'm 80 now and have an implant for the last 6 years which I love. I used Trimix for a little over 12 years before the implant and liked it a lot. I gained over an inch in girth, 6.5+" but lost that "gained" girth when I got my implant. I had very little if any scaring as far as I know, and up to about the last year of use, it would give me a hard erection in about 10 minutes and would last about 2 hours, then a chubby for another hour. But slowly in the last year, it really stopped working even with higher doses. That's when I looked into an implant (Coloplast). That was the best thing I ever did for myself! Other than being able to stay hard, my flaccid size went from less then an inch to 4+" LOVE THAT! As I said, I'm 6 years in with my implant and have had no problems with it. Please PM me if you would like to chat about it.
