Dr. Eid REVISION-Post Op, w/pics

Postby Jack1104 » Mon Jul 15, 2024 1:45 pm

Today is post-op day 5 for my revision- Titan 20cm OTR OUT, Titan 20cm Classic IN. Dr. Eid switched sides (right) on my reservoir so I occasionally get a brief searing pain in my right lower abdomen. Cycled starting yesterday in the tub. Made it 35 “half” pumps before too much pain so these pics are less than full inflation. Hoping to get back to 6.25”x 5.25.” Thoughts?

Hey Jack,

Does it feel any different pumping with the Classic vs OTR?

Looks good Jack!

Did Dr Eid discuss why he's using the Classic pump now instead of OTR, or was that your decision?

I’m 57.

There is almost no difference in feel with pumping- although admittedly, I have not gotten to the max because it hurts too much still less than a week since the surgery.

The release valve feels a little bit different and it takes a little more pressure to get it to deflate.

Dr. Eid has lost confidence in the newer model because he has had a number of fractures in the tubing at the 3 to 5 year mark. He examined my old implant after removal and said there was definitely a manufacturer’s defect in the tubing- he is sending it back to the company for a full refund for me.

He says the older model with the older release valve seems to be more trustworthy over the long run.

Same here. Titan touch installed by Eid in 2021. After about 3 years tubing failure. I'm in Europe and I wasn't able to travel back to USA so I had to do the revision here, and only touch pump is available here. Titan classic is not available here unfortunately. Surgeon here said that preconnecred units are more reliable. In fact in the last revision I got a pre connect one. He had to user more rte (22+3) and tubing are more visible in the scrotum, but I hope that it last. Preconnected units are available up to 22 cm, the previous installed by Eid was 24+1. Anyway girth and length are exactly the same, I have even more girth with the current one. If I have another early failure I will definitely switch to malleable because I'm 36 and I already had 4 surgeries (3 revisions).
32yo, VL from birth. Implanted in 2020 with AMS CX by Gabriele Antonini. Pump stopped working after three months, replaced with new pump that stopped working again. Complete revision Titan Touch 24+1 implanted by Dr.Eid. Titan failed in October 2023.

Hi Frank I prefer to not tell the name because he literally said he don't like publicity like being mentioned on forums etc.. i didn't paid the implant because it was under warranty, I paid about 10k eur for surgeon , anesthesia and hospital stay.

Ciao marchesana, mi fa piacere sentirti, come stai adesso?
