Aspirate to assure sweet spot?
I've noticed when I've had successful injections there's been a drop of blood in the syringe afterwards. Last night I injected and I actually aspirated a tiny bit and sure enough it was a success. Would there be a reason the doctors wouldn't tell us to do this to assure accuracy? Does blood confirm you're in the right spot? Thoughts? So far it's been my best indicator.

Seems a bit risky, Once I puncture the corpora cavernous. I slowly inject and remove the needle.
I would be concerned about any side effects trying to separate.
I've done over 100 injections in the past two years. The only time I missed was on my second attempt.

Bimix/Caverject/Trimix/Quadmix for 32 years.
I did not aspirate.
Now, when I’m giving myself a shot in the butt or thigh with testosterone I always aspirate. It’s an oil based med and you DO NOT want to inject in a vein.
I have read somewhere (possibly on the internet, which means it HAS to be true) that it’s ok to aspirate with a needle in the corpora. However, just because it’s ok doesn’t mean it’s good or wise or a best practice.
Slowly finding your way thru the tissue layers and educating yourself on the way it feels when you penetrate the tunica and the needle drops into the spongy, blood filled tissue of the corpora sounds like a better idea. My implant surgeon told me that I was clean as a whistle, no scarring, and that was after 32 years of shots. Was that because I didn’t aspirate? Hell if I know. But in general I think it wise not to inflict any more insult in there than required.

Re: Aspirate to assure sweet spot?
I think aspiration is legit if it works for you. I've found the plunger resistance method best for me.
