Okay, I’m booked for surgery early next month. As well as implant (LGX) I’m having the pubic fat pad excision and the suspensory ligament cut (aware of differing opinions on efficacy and risk). Bone pressed I’m pretty much bang on 6”. I’d be happy to ultimately retain that but hopefully end up with a more shower than grower aesthetic.

I’ve had such an unsatisfactory sex life for my whole adult life because sometimes I could just about make it work, injections (pills never worked) helped a little and a lot of therapists told me it was all in my head. Now I know, even from describing my symptoms to a good urologist that I’ve had a crushingly bad venous leak forever (obvs had further tests to confirm).

Nevertheless, I’m booked in with Prof. Dr. Ates Kadioglu - from everything I’ve read he’s a volume implanter of some repute in Turkey (NHS wait too long, private cost in UK too high). I’ve read one account on here of someone who had implant with this doctor who was worried they’d been undersized. I mentioned this to the patient liaison who was very reassuring. So, my questions are:

-Has anyone else got experiences with this doctor that they’d be willing to share?

-What should my packing list look like? Jockstrap and baby socks. Anything else?

-What’s people’s general experience of how long it takes from implant to sex? I’ve got some catching up to do

-I’ve got the surgery on the Tuesday and flying home on the Saturday. Will it be agony?

-Does everyone lose size then regain; or was anyone broadly the same after surgery?

Appreciate no-one likely to have all the answers but any insights anyone has on individual questions most welcome. I’m looking forward to a brighter future but very nervous.
