Hello! My apologies for taking so long to post here. For those that missed my introduction, I am an online-based clinical hypnotherapist; my good fortune has seen me working with many different psychologically rooted conditions having to do with male sexuality. I use such broad terminology for a reason as I have worked with premature ejaculation, porn-induced ED, and what I have come to associate as rejection-based dysfunction. Psych ED, as I'll call it from this point forward for the sake of brevity, can come up in many ways.
Most importantly, I need to stress that before you address any psychological cause it is absolutely vital you be thoroughly and to your own satisfaction be examined for any potential medical causes. I cannot comment or advise in any way on this matter beyond stressing the importance of an appropriate health screening. I cannot stress this enough, so I will mention it again... go to your doctors, gentlemen.
Ok, so... let's say you've done what you can and determined the root cause of your dysfunction is somewhere in your head. Don't be discouraged, up to 40% of psych ED cases are rooted in the mind. What I want to share with you today is some examples of the causes I've found for these dysfunctions to exist in hopes that some can gain a bit of comfort and understanding. Due to privacy issues, I cannot post the resolution for these examples but what I can say is that all examples listed had positive outcomes.
Some causes I have directly observed:
[*]Lack of sleep causing performance anxiety- A lack of sleep can have a profound number of effects,
[*]Single experiences becoming fears and becoming dysfunctions- One bad experience, a common thing among men, gets in your head and leads to dysfunction,
[*]Guilt/fear/anger over separation- Separation can have a toll on us; many times, I've seen that toll be extracted through our sexual health,
[*]Expectation of failure- The mother of all performance anxiety, you simply just expect to fail,
[*]Repeated rejection by spouse/SO- Perhaps the most common in my experience, repeated rejection can and will give a man intimacy issues,
[*]Fear that becomes expectation- Much like before, but with no event that begins the fear itself,
[*]Abusive or controlling relationships- Our mental state in these situations is usually not too sexually healthy,
[*]Career instability- Some of us, me included, are deeply affected by career instability or other financial issues,
[*]Death or illness of a loved one- Grief or simply the fear of death can lead to prolonged dysfunctions, as can the grieving process itself,
[*]Unrealistic expectation- You should not be able to hunt deer with it, nor should you expect yourself to.
This is by no means a comprehensive list, but rather some that I see pop up with a bit of regularity. You're not alone, there's nothing 'wrong' with you as a person and your experience is worthy of sympathy and care... from yourself as well. I hope this helped shine a light somewhere and, if desired, would be happy to speak more on my work and observations.

Re: Psychological Dysfunctions: Sharing what I can
Interesting high level overview.
More details of possible solutions could be helpful.
How one can locate a specialist that can be really trusted. I think trust and confidence in someone is required to improve the quality of the outcome.
I for one have had bad experiences with the medical profession.
