How much was the surgery in total in the USA and how much did you pay out of pocket. Just curious. I thought it might be around $30.000.00 for everything. Thanks.

In total, my procedure cost over $112,000.00 for everything. But I am very fortunate to have excellent insurance which paid for everything. Well, not including the initial $2,000.00 co-pay. But once we covered that part, the insurance paid for the rest. Including my extra days in the hospital due to some minor post-op complications. Thank goodness!

My surgery incl the consultation before, anesthesia, hospital charges, lab charges, implant, surgeon fee, and all follow up care was billed at $53,000.
The insurance allowable (Tricare) paid them $19,000.
I had met my catastrophic cap for the year due to my wife’s hospitalization for pneumonia and a foot surgery ($5000 out of pocket for all family medical in a calendar year). So I paid absolutely no co-payment.
Nobody griped about $19K being the total payment.
My doctor still advertises online (assuming website is valid) the whole thing for cash/self-pay patients at just over $17,000. I think that’s at an ambulatory surgical center instead of hospital which is why mine ended up at $19,000.
And this wasn’t some back-room apprentice surgeon at that price. There are bigger names out there but this is the high volume implant doctor in Austin TX and, having seen some of his patients on here, he knows what he’s doing. Great follow up service too.

My Implant Invoice was $89,000. My Insurance paid $89,000. My Pain pills were $6.50. My extra gauze was $2.50. So my out of pocket was less than $10.00.

Paying completely out of pocket, with no insurance talks, it will be somewhere between 20 and 30 grand.
You can find such prices quoted at https://surgeo.com/penile-implant - these are packages with additional $25,000 third-party insurance to cover any further surgeries if complications arise within a year from your operation.
Also, ViaSwiss made this list where he gathered most known surgeons and their prices: https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12950 - the list is not up to date and some prices went up.
