Obsessing over size

Postby joho1984 » Thu Jul 25, 2024 5:30 pm

I’m booked in for surgery for second week of August and for likely a LGX, going through all the predictable anxiety at the moment.

One that keeps coming back is ensuring I’m not undersized. Bone pressed I’m bang on 6 inches. Appreciate everyone’s anatomy is slightly different but is there any kind of average to work out how much more penis might be behind that? I know they measure in surgery but is there a way to guesstimate the proximal plus distal and thus the likely implant size?

I’m hoping they don’t just bang in 15cm.

I’ll obviously journal my experience when the time comes.

they must size you correctly, no more, no less, I will do a review in September for having been oversized on the left side, I do not recommend you to be oversized

Thanks, I do get that. More trying to guesstimate what size implant I’ll end up with.

I think they will put a 21 plus a small rte, but I've seen that many also put the 18 with large rte

Quit obsessing.

I’m the website’s resident statistics/crazy person.

I do the math to figure out what guys ought to expect a year after their implant.

Reverse engineering is really not a big deal.

If you have a normal anatomy, ie a typical depth crus which is between 1/3 and 1/4 of total penile length, then what you are looking at is an implant between 18.97 & 21.2 cm.

What that means is when you wake up they’ll give you a card that says 18 cm LGX and between 1 and 3 cm of RTEs.

I guess it’s not impossible that you could find that they have used a 21 cm LGX with no RTEs but I kinda doubt it. It seems like most doctors like to use that 18 cm model. It’s extraordinarily reliable, rugged, and you just don’t see many guys on here who have had trouble with it.

If you end up with something slightly different, for God’s sake don’t think of yourself as abnormal. Depth of crus does vary amongst guys. But if you’re typical and ordinary, your total implant will be between 19 & 21.2 cm with 20 being most likely.

You using a VED? It will help. Or simply trying to get nice hard erections in the weeks or months before surgery would help. Good to improve the tissue and blood flow stuff down there, so doctors size you at your best possible.

Txagq8 gives lots of good advice.

Trying to guess a total implanted size is basically useless. There is too many variables on distal & proximal measurements. A lot of the difference is where the dr enters the penis at. So if he comes up with a deep proximal measurement. It likely will be a short distal. Also, not all corpras end in the head at the same place.

I was only hoping to get a 21cm total of implant. Yup, I got it & I'm basically where I was in my adult years the best that I can tell. I never measured length years ago, but I had measured girth. Many claims are made that Boston Scientific implants can't produce big girths. Read my signature to see my results.

The real answer is do you prefer a long implant or a long penis. They are not always the same. My only advice is that if you've followed the advice of senior FT members? This includes a wise dr selection. You should be very close to your 6" goal.

Have to agree with most, worrying about what size you'll be after surgery is wasted energy.
The thing I believe affects size the most is waiting too long to get the implant. Months and years with no erections can cause you to lose size. I was a good 6 1/4" to 6 1/2" in my prime, wasted 13 years taking pills and injections and now I got 5". But bottom line, it works. It works well and that keeps me and the wife happy.

I was also really nervous about post-surgery length. It's easier said than done, but I had to just stop obsessing. I was going to get what I was going to get. They can't oversize or undersize you. I got my implant just a month ago, but I can tell I'll most likely end up the size I was pre-surgery (although, sadly, not pre-Peyronie's). I'm learning that the healing process takes time. Like, more time than I would like. This is definitely a lesson in patience. Also, at the end, I will be able to get it up again, so... eyes on the prize.

I implanted a mallabble 6-2023 .. 13mm x 17cm .. 7 months later noticed glans was getting floppy ..next month the right rod started migrating to the side past the glans ... After numerous visits about it dr. finally decided we should do something .. 7-2024 put ne implant 13mm x 19 on the left side and 13mm x 20 on the right side trying to make the glans go back straight .. also caught the old bit and switch where another dr. did my surgery and when I pushed it main dr was all upset saying he was in charge the whole time of my surgery ..that's not quite the same as doing it .. and the end result shows it ... knot of flesh under the shaft more pain with this surgery then I had with the other 2 surgeries combined .. funny thing is was always almost impossible to contact my dr. but when I emailed about the other dr. doing the surgery and it was in my records he responded in like 10 minutes ..10 minutes later my online records disappeared to be replace with a new "doctored" set of records removing the other dr. as the surgeon .. as far as sizing be thankful if you get something that might work .. if your like most of us in our mid 60's I always say who are you trying to impress? . ... showed dr. photos from 25yrs ago ..he said that was then this is now means nothing ..
