Clavell's Office Fuck Up on Insurance Pre Auth, Any Ideas?

Clavells office told me they would get pre approval before surgery. They did and all went fine, I had to pay my deductible and that was it. I either got lucky or??

Same here . Maddie was exceptional. When my insurance denied me the surgery with Dr.Clavell ( after they had already approved it in my hometown with a different doc. ) , he scheduled a peer to peer review with a doctor ( I'm assuming ) representing the insurance company to go over my case . After that meeting , my surgery was good to go . I too recieved a WTF bill from the hospital that had me spooked . I contacted Dr.Clavell and he called me back . He reassured me that wasn't the final bill and that things would be ok after everything gets settled ( he was right ) . I just had my co-pay and some other miscellaneous fees from the hospital. My total out of pocket was roughly 5k .

For anyone else who may read my initial posting, I'm going to start a NEW post so that everyone else will see it. Dr. Clavell called me personally late yesterday afternoon. He had seen my post. He explained in detail what had happened and that he would take care of everything. What a stand-up guy! Please read my new post. Title will be:
