Hello all, I just bought a VED with some constriction rings. I decided that's my next best move towards treating ED. My question to you is, how long have you been using a VED with a constriction ring while having good results? Is it a good long term solution and how are the side effects? How was the quality of your erection?

I have been using VED's every day for 30 minutes for the past six months. I have penial implants and lost length due to atrophy; the VED does give me the length back while I use the cock rings. The best advice I can offer is never use the metal cock rings they absolutely cause damage.

I've been pumping g for 1+ years, but only for rehabilitation not with rings for sex. However, other methods (e.g. Viagra) are becoming less reliable. So, time to try my VED+Ring.

I'm finding my pumped and constricted erection is very full and starts with a good length that slowly loses about an inch. Despite being very full and girthy, I would characterize it as only about 60-70% hard as compared to a natural erection. Penetration is possible but needs a little "force-feeding" by hand. Has anyone else seen this effect? Solution? (or just ignore it)?

It does get a dark purple color. The first year or so it was colder to the touch. I did a lot of pumping for rehab and practice. Also I was so happy to have a stiff one again I would pump up and put a ring on almost everytime I took a shower. All that pumping has darkened my penis from what it was before I started. It is no longer colder to the touch except for a small area around the meatus.

If by downward you are referring to the hinge effect, I don't really notice one. I like to use a penile foam tube that lessens the discomfort of the rings, etc.

None of this is offputting to my wife. The steel hard erection that stays that way for 20-30 minutes kind of overshadows the other stuff. Besides, doggy style and a blindfold does eliminate a lot of her visuals.

Is the dark coloured penis purple with the band on or is that how it is all the time now? When you say you haven't noticed a hinge effect does that mean your erection aims downward? Also with the sleeves you're talking about, are they soft enough so that when you put the band on them there is significant compression to keep the erection?

I lost 100% ability to have natural erections 27 months ago after my surgery. I "re-hab" every day with a pump for 15-20 minutes to maintain my length and girth. In bed with the wife, we play around with foreplay for about 20 minutes and I get her off. I bought a VED 13 years ago, in hopes of helping my ED.
I could pump it full and apply the ring but it would never keep an erection.

Then I started using Viagra which more or less worked for over 10 years.

I put the VED away and took it out maybe once a year. Mainly because it would make my penis a full size larger. 1/2 inch or more longer than my natural erection. More or less a novelty thing...

Last year I got Peyronies Disease (PD) and seemingly overnight I lost over an inch in length and girth, plus I got the dreaded curve. I went from being just above average penis size to just below average size. As I was looking for treatments. I started using the VED twice daily for 15-20 minutes. After about eight months of daily use, I regained most of the size I lost due to PD although the curve remained.
After my sessions with the VED although the penis was filled with blood it never held an erection (even with a constriction ring).

The short answer is to experiment with different brands of rings and/or to try 2 rings. What worked for me(2 Osbons) might not work for others.
