Getting used to my new implant

Postby Sbpulliam1 » Thu Aug 01, 2024 4:51 pm

I had my initial IPP on 5/16/24 and over the last 3 weeks I have had sex with my wife 6 times. It ‘s a relief to maintain an erection. I don’t miss the trimix injections.
My only concern is that when I am inside my wife the sensation is lacking somewhat, and my penis is a little bit tender. I am taking 5 mg of Tadalafil daily to help with blood flow.
Do you think that over time this lack of sensation will improve? I appreciate any feedback.

Yeah, at that point your body is still healing.
Nerves are re-attaching and figure it will takes upwards of 6 months
(or longer) to fully get the full sensation back.

Patience and time....

I will chime in the same for me. I figured with the pumping it to max twice daily for 30 minutes and doing those perito bending exercises it stayed sore for better part of first ) months and then gradually hit back to normal for me . All part of the process!

Sbpulliam1, it takes a good while before all the feeling comes back really well, for me at 6 weeks when I was cleared to cycle the implant and cleared for sex, I still had too much pain and numbness, so I waited to till week 8 to have sex and it was pretty good to have sex again but for me it was definitely lacking because I still had pain, numbness and I don't think I was inflated as much as I could for full hardness. I would say for me sex got way better at 4 to 6 months out from surgery.

Good Luck,

This is good to hear. I am just over 2 months post-op and cycling is starting to get easier, slowly.

However, I still have a little swelling just below the head (glans). Especially after playing with it a little too much. There is very little sensation and I haven't been able to reach climax, so I have abused myself a little too much trying to get there, and it is still tender (but not as much as a few weeks ago).

I have lost nearly 2 inches from pre-op Trimix-induced woody. Girth is now oval. So, from what you all are saying is that to keep cycling and the length, girth and sensations should all come back at perhaps the 6 month to 12 month post-op? Man, I hope so.
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

Things should get better.

The worst time of my recovery was between 2 and 4 months.

During that time period, I could have eex, but it was a mixture of pain, discomfort, and lack of sensation.

Around 4 months after my surgery, things started to get a lot better. I couldn't believe how much better sex felt as compared to before I had the implant.

Hopefully things get better soon.
