You weren’t happy with Clavell? Why?
Age 27. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, rings, healthy lifestyle, alternative meds.

Re: Dr Eid or Dr Hakky?
I had planned to go to Eid, but he fell sick for quite some time and I didn't want to postpone my surgery, so I switched to Hakky. I am really happy with the result. He is a great guy and the staff is really supportive. I liked that I didn't have to be inflated for 3 weeks like with Clavell. But I also heard great things about Clavell. If I have to do a revision I will likely go with Hakky or Clavell.
35, ED due to venous leak caused by finasteride (PFS syndrome)

I wouldn't worry about a surgeon retiring soon if you are getting a virgin implant. I've got an appt with Dr Levine in Chicago for Dec 9 and I'm sure he is retiring soon. I'm just glad my first implant will be done by one of the top-tier with decades of experience and research
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is sexual health expert Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. I also have mild BPH
Re: Dr Eid or Dr Hakky?
If I'm not mistaken, Dr. Eid prefers the penoscrotal incision, while Dr. Hakky seems to favor the infrapubic incision, based on what I've read (someone please confirm). For overweight/obese patients, wound healing problems and seroma formation are common near infrapubic incisions due to the presence of fat. Penoscrotal incisions are less prone to these issues because there is minimal fat in the scrotum. You might want to factor in expertise in surgical approaches for any comorbidities you may have.

Something goes wrong with this implant, I go back to him , he’s awesome ! My opinion !!
Thank you Harleydawg53! I’m booked on Friday September 13, 2024 with Dr. Perito. Good to hear your recommendation!

Also, Dr Eid told me you can workout lightly after 2 weeks post-op and back to normal after 3 weeks while Clavell recommends to not start lifting before 6 weeks. Somehow Dr Eid seems to have shorter recovery time.
One thing I would like to point out is that surgeon opinions and techniques vary greatly and are sometimes conflicting. Being an engineer I expected that there would be a lot more synergy.
For example, Dr. Clavell told me that I would need to pick one of the implants when I schedule surgery and it can't be a game time decision. He initially recommended the AMS CX after doing a stretch test. But after my doppler ultrasound said either would be fine. Dr. Eid told me that Titan is my best choice because otherwise my dick would be like a pancake.
Dr. Clavell starts cycling between 3 to 6 wks whereas Dr. Eid says he would start cycling on the third day.
Dr. Clavell keeps you erect at 60% before cycling but Dr. Eid says he would leave me completely deflated to allow proper capsule formation around the reservoir.
Dr. Clavell uses put you under general anesthesia and uses Exparel local anesthesia and saline injection to stretch the penis. But Dr. Eid says spinal anesthesia is the best to get the flaccid penis to stretch the most during surgery. Can anyone comment on if EID opinion is true or not?
Hot tub bath is a big no for Dr. Clavell due to infection fear whereas Dr. Eid says start cycling after 3 days in a hot tub bath.
I'm still conflicted which one I should go with.
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant.

"Dr. Clavell keeps you erect at 60% before cycling but Dr. Eid says he would leave me completely deflated to allow proper capsule formation around the reservoir."
Does Dr. Eid have some magic that allows the capsule to form around the full reservoir but no capsule to form around the deflated implant?
I don't think I've ever read of someone that had capsule issues on FrankTalk. Whether you cycle at 3 days or cycle at 5 weeks, seems to make no difference in that span of time. One way you have roughly 0 penis and 100% reservoir inflation, and the other you have roughly 60 penis/40% reservoir inflation if capsule formation is a concern.

2/22/23 AMS 700 CX 21cm + 1.5cm RTEs. 58 yrs old, wife of 37 yrs. Penoscrotal. 100ml Conceal reservoir. Dr. Clavell. Pills failing and went right to implant, skipped the injections. 12 mos. later: 7 1/2" x 5 3/4"
Re: Dr Eid or Dr Hakky?
Surgery is a science, agreed. I'm also starting to realize that it's more of an art than science. I won't expect precision engineering principles grounded on laws of physics from two artists. Biology is an amalgam of physics and chemistry mixed with many unknowns. Think about how evolution shaped us. Surgery is a hack against millions of years of evolution by natural selection. We may never get precise instruction manuals.
