Hip surgery with an implant

Postby Steve5231 » Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:20 am

First of all, I got my implant thanks to Dr. Levine in Chicago 1-1/2 years ago and couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend him for anyone considering an implant.

But now I’m scheduled for a hip replacement this October. My wife always prefers to be on top. Will this be an issue for me following the hip surgery?
75 years old. Was on Viagra and then Cialis but got fed up with the side effects. Switched to Tri-Mix 3 years ago but had increasingly reduce effect. Finally implanted 1/19/2023. Always looking for advice. Live in Illinois.

Hi,

After 9 marathons, one triathlon and the entire John Muir Trail my left hip said "Buh-bye!" in 2020.
I went ahead and and had it replaced at UCLA , it was a great move on my part because the arthritic
pain was becoming severe every passing day.
Very shortly after that, I discovered my PSA was drastically out of whack- so Me and Mr. Prostate cancer
got acquainted with each other for the first time and a Radical prostatectomy followed suit.

Of course, this destroyed my ability to achieve a natural erection and an IPP was installed.

As for your question...
I have done everything with the exception of hanging off the chandeliers with the Mrs.
She has been on top of me riding like a piston many, many times and everything has been fine.
Those hip replacements are designed to last 30+ years.
Unless your wife weighs an astronomical amount you should have NO problem with her
on top of you.

I sure haven't!

Best wishes.
