AMA - 9 Months Post Implant Rigicon Infla 10AX in Turkey with Prof. Dr. Ihsan Karaman

Hello Friend,

I'm a European American living in the South Pacific. I'm scheduled for my ams700 glx 12th July by Dr Rohit Krishna in New Delhi.

I wanted to thank you for sharing your experience, and I have decided to start my own journal in case there are others who self-pay or "self-insure". Most members or FT seem to have proper insurance and easy access to top notch US urologists, so I (personally) find that the stories of foreign doctors resonate with me.

I will be kept in the hospital for 48Hrs following the surgery, then in an adjacent hotel for another 8 days. Dr Krishna has never had any infections or complications. He did a WA call and has answered all questions and concerns in a very professional manner.

+1 to Atul, I googled about the doctor you mentioned and he is a plastic surgeon and not a urologist. While I am no one to comment on your doctors credentials, I would much rather choose a urologist who has performed a substantial amount of penile implant surgeries (300+) for your procedure.

Just to be clear, my comment was in reply to a post on Dr. Krishna.

Dr. Ihsan Karaman is a qualified urologist with several years of experience. He has performed close to 500 penile implant surgeries

Thank you for your feedback. Dr Krishna is first and foremost a plastic surgeon, but also a board certified urologist. I feel comfortable with him and his staff, and as far as the results I'll document it here soon.

I was in Marmarais, Turkey, on vacation last year (actually Rhodes, but took a 2 day detour) and wish I would have understood my condition prior, and found FT. Now I'm heading on a business trip to Singapore, then surgery in India, then onto more business in Thailand. Hence my choice. Total cost for surgery/hospital is $10K USD. There are several less expensive options in Delhi and elsewhere, but I made my choice. Thank you Aten and Mr beard for your concern and feedback. It's much appreciated.

Good luck for your surgery. I am not sure where you have seen that he is a board certified urologist. His own website does not have any mention of urology. I have seen videos of other urologists who have warned patients against going to such surgeons. Anyways I only wanted to caution you in good faith. Wish you the best.

Dr. Rohit Krishna is a scam artist in New Delhi. I didnt have my surgery done yet and will go to Dr Karaman in Istanbul later this year. I spoke with a sales engineer at Rigicon and was referred to Dr Karaman. €7500 for surgery and hotel, a very fair price!

I am grateful to Atul and the others who made me doubt my initial choice of Dr Krishna. My sincerest appreciation. I will write a log once I head for surgery in Turkiye.

I am glad. Hope all will go well with Dr. Karaman. I silently prayed for you when you mentioned you still want to go ahead with the plastic surgeon posing as a urologist. A separate thread detailing your experience with him should be made to warn others. There are some genuinely good urologists in India but this guy is not one of them.

Well sadly my pump malfunctioned at the 1 year mark, so I am looking for a revision surgery. Currently considering Dr. Park or Dr Clavell just because of their larger history and volume of work as implant surgeons. I was very happy with my experience with Dr. Karaman. the implant worked perfectly for a year until the pump fell flat. I still had a healthy blood flow into the penis with the implant.

Why are you not choosing Dr karaman for revesion surgery? You implant have a life time warrenty, then why are you going for this.

Why if you have rigicon lifetime warranty you dont do the revision with karaman?

What did he says to you after 1 year failure?

How much did he charge for a revision?

Why do you decided to change surgeon?

If you can update your situation it can be important for everybody that is thinking about Karaman for the implant
